As a SAP Functional Architect for Order-Cash (OTC), you will be a key driver in building our digital core global ERP platform.

Maersk is on multi-year program to revamp its technology and digital solutions platforms. As part of our strategy, SAP will act as the ‘digital core’ for the company’s major processes enabled by SAP’s latest S4HANA & SAP Cloud offerings. Maersk currently has two ECC based SAP finance solutions running our Ocean and Logistics & Services divisions. Our vision is to subsume these existing legacy SAP solutions into a single greenfield S4HANA implementation serving both our Ocean and Logistics & Services businesses.

As an SAP Functional Architect for OTC, you will be responsible to work hands-on in SAP to execute the delivery. For this, you will be required to work very closely with the product owner, business process owners and the other technology engineering teams and multiple stakeholders from both business and technology.

Key responsibilities

• Build trusted advisor relationship with our business & technology stakeholders spanning the entire lifecycle of our digital transformation programs
• You will be responsible for hands-on solution design to translate business requirements into final delivered products in Invoice-To-Cash (I2C) areas like credit & risk management, customer billing & invoicing, collections, dunning, disputes, claims, receipts, online customer solutions & master data
• You will need to – in collaboration with the product manager and engineering manager – help define product vision, objectives and key results in alignment with business goals
• You will need to engage senior level business and technology stakeholders to anchor mature discussions related to end to end solutions encompassing business value, agility & robustness
• You need to architect solutions by mapping business problems to end-to-end technology solutions – both in existing ECC landscapes as well as our new S/4HANA solution
• You will need to work closely with our internal Technical Architecture team to ensure architectural integrity of all solutions
• You will own solution design, ensure it is developed and implemented by our inhouse SAP team working closely with external partners
• You are a key enabler for other engineers, consultants and external partners in our business. You need to be able to demonstrate a customer service passion through professionalism and striving for excellence in all aspects of the customer engagement and experience
• You may have to deliver hands-on SAP solutions and configuration for complex requirements – both in our current legacy ECC as well as the planned S/4HANA solution
• You will need to assist in managing the Product Backlog: including prioritization of user stories, creation of backlog items and mapping out dependencies in collaboration with business users and technology teams
• You will need to anticipate business and customer needs; create and use customer journey maps and develop deep knowledge of the markets in which the product operates
• You will work closely with overall development teams embracing Agile way of working; contribute to the planning, execution and review of each sprint and work with the team to refine and improve the development process.
• You will be responsible to help evaluate product progress and be accountable the full lifecycle of the development process
• You will be responsible to improve the product performance metrics. These include value delivery, user satisfaction, performance of the support process, compliance, cost, stability of the product and deployment/roll-out performance.
• You will be involved in contributing to developing product and agile practices for Maersk

We are looking for

You have:
• At least 15 years of total SAP experience
• At least 10 years of experience as SAP Functional Architect Order-to-Cash (OTC)
• Very good domain knowledge and hands-on SAP experience in the SAP Order Management, Billing/Invoicing, Collections, Disputes & Claims Management, Credit & Risk Management, Accounts Receivables Management, Customer Self Service & Master Data (Customer Master, Business Partner, Material Master…)
• Have excellent hands-on experience of anticipating and resolving cross module (SD, MM, FICO) issues
• Experience of having worked in large, complex & fast-changing SAP environments
• Experience in working with OTC business process/activity owners in understanding business requirement and solution design
• You should have proven ability to engage with senior level business and technology stakeholders to have mature conversation related to agility, business value, and end to end technical solutions
• Proven ability to work in delivering solutions that are heavy in integrations with other applications
• Proven ability to work in both SAP ECC as well as SAP S/4HANA
• Experience with SAP BRIM (Convergent Invoicing and FICA) would be a distinct advantage
• Experience with S4HANA implementation or rollouts would be an added advantage
• Possess excellent consulting & problem-solving skills
• Hands-on experience in working in both agile and waterfall methodologies would be an advantage
• Have excellent communication and articulation skills – both written and verbal
• Experience in Logistics and/or Shipping industries would be a bonus
• Experience in working with Agile, Scrum and waterfall delivery models
• Excellent problem solving & communication skills
• Ability to work in an ambiguous environment
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or IT related discipline
• Certification in SAP SD or SAP BRIM would be a distinct advantage
