Key responsibilities
• Work with delivery teams to modernize their applications to 12 factor apps built on Open Source products.
• Ensuring we can scale across public and private cloud seamlessly by developing abstraction between product teams and backplane services.
• Contribution to key Open Source projects.
• Working with teams across the organization to deliver outcomes for the business stakeholders to define and evolve products from concept to reality.
• Be a visible driving force for recruiting new talent into Maersk with a mindset of open standards & open platforms
• Work with product teams to help modernize their application & infrastructure stack.
• Prove key migration patterns for Source infrastructure stack for the Enterprise and help our product teams with clear roadmaps for migration.
• Develop patterns for migration of legacy workloads on a 3-tier Architecture to a modern 12 factor composable architecture.
• Ensure there is Security built into the bundle from inception.
• Partner with the Product Owners, Support teams, and other Software teams to identify issues and design solutions
• Demo and present new ideas and projects to the Community of Practice.
• Help on accelerating Maersk application modernization.
We are looking for
We would love to hear from you if you can demonstrate:
• Proven background delivering complex transformations from legacy Enterprise software to adoption of open source projects implemented in a sustainable way.
• Seen as an Open Source evangelist with hands-on keyboard approach to Enterprise transformation.
• Recognized by peers as passionate & skilled on open Source projects fit for Large Enterprise.
• Solid technical background, with hands-on experience in building applications on Temporal or similar tech stack for a complex on-prem and multi-cloud ecosystem
• Experience with microservices and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Strong experience with Serverless, Service mesh, and Microservices orchestration/choreography.
• Experience working with DB like Mongo, Casandra, MYSQL, PostgresSQL etc.
• Experience with at least one of the development tools like Git, Gradle, Maven, Sonar, Jenkins, Artifactory, etc
• Experience with DevOps practices and CICD model of development
• Experience in working in a cloud environments (Azure, GCP, AWS, private)
• Agile project experience along with working on Agile tools like JIRA
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Should be able to collaborate and work with global teams
• Able to work across organizational boundaries and matrixed reporting structures
• Ability to fully understand business goals and metrics, turn data into insights, and translate requirements into actionable analysis
• Able to present and communicate technical concepts in a clear and concise manner
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, supported by excellent written and oral communication
• Exhibit a strong work ethic and technical thought-leadership
