Would you like to create software used by world’s biggest space agencies?
At TICRA, we strive to evolve and collaborate to develop state-of-the-art software that enables space agencies and spacecraft manufacturers to create high-performance antennas in space and on the ground.
We are looking for a talented cross platform Windows/Linux/Mac C++ and Python programmer with excellent testing skills, a testing mindset, and a keen interest in automated testing. You know how to develop structured tests; you know how to plan feature testing in advance and you can hold your colleagues to a high quality of automated tests. Your role will be a mix of developing user interface code in C++, end-to-end tests in Python using the Squish framework and maintaining and improving the shared middle layer testing code and integration to the C++ GUI code. You will be part of our GUI development team and work in collaboration with our antenna specialists in all phases of the software development process from requirements specification to building final releases.

You get to work with experts in antenna theory and computational electromagnetics. They develop the algorithms and the data that our user interface controls and presents. In this role, you will be part of TICRA’s front end team of 5-6 user interface developers.

Primary responsibilities
- Maintain and develop automated GUI integration tests on all our platforms
- Maintain and improve the test code integration to C++ and the shared middle layer python testing code and libraries
- Provide reviewing and guidance to colleagues as to how to write good, concise and maintainable tests
- Maintain the Squish installation and smooth operation on all our platforms (Windows/Linux/Mac).
- Implement C++ user interface for our antenna modelling applications
Your profile
Required qualifications:
- You are a citizen of a NATO/EU country
- MSc in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field or equivalent practical experience
- Good communication skills in spoken and written English
- Expert with automated tests, continuous integration and related cross platform issues
- Excellent Python and C++ programming skills
- Excellent software architecture skills
Desired qualifications:
- Experience with graphical user interface and multi-platform testing in Qt
- Experience with Squish automated testing framework
- Experience with code review process
- Experience with automated tests
