We have created a complete end-to-end IoT solution that optimizes waste collection processes using machine learning and turn-by-turn navigation for waste collection – and we are already powering San Francisco and Copenhagen.
Responsibilities:
Understand product requirements, engage with team members and customers to define solutions, and estimate the scope of work required.
You will work together with our UX designers, data scientists, hardware engineers, testers and fellow developers to create great solutions for our customers. We expect you to be a team player who helps out wherever necessary and takes action when you see problems on the horizon.
- Develop and maintain highly reliable and scalable web services, APIs and UIs.
- Develop and maintain internal monitoring and reporting tools to enable us to be proactive and demonstrate value to our customers.
- Build APIs and UIs that are simple and powerful.
- Collaborate with, mentor, and influence members within your team to drive our development process to enable our developers to deliver their best work.
- Write clean, delicious, tested and maintainable code.
- Peer review your team member’s code.
Qualifications:
- You are a curious, self-motivated and communicative person who is eager to learn and ready to join a start-up with few formal procedures and limits.
- At least 5 years of experience building real software applications with Node.js, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
- Proficiency with relational databases (MySQL, Postgres, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment at a fast-paced, small company.
- Experience with Agile development and CI/CD.
- Familiar with TDD, NoSQL, queues, Git, Jira, Docker, SPAs (Angular, React, VueJS, etc.), TypeScript and Redux.
- Comfortable with full development stack (UX, web, API, business logic, database).
- Passionate about software engineering and best practices.
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or similar.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.

Ideally we are looking for someone to hire for about a 4 month period, and if you have the opportunity to work full time during that time it would be great. However, if not, we are flexible with the working hours.
We would like for you to be on site in the beginning at least because we need to coordinate some tasks, but later on it will be possible to work from home as well.
