Lead developer for Dynamics 365 Finance / Power Platform
Do you want to build and implement a group ERP system based on Dynamics 365? Are you passionate about the latest cloud-based trends and technologies? And are you motivated by playing a central role in a highly visible system implementation, crucial to our colleagues in Finance, HR and Procurement? Then this role is for you.
DFDS is in the process of digitizing our back office. The largest project in this process is the implementation of a new ERP system for Group Finance, HR and Procurement. We are in the early phase of implementing Microsoft Dynamics including Finance, Talent and additional capabilities replacing our current finance system. The goal is to interface with a suite of back office systems and 70+ integrations, external and internal. BI and enterprise reporting will also utilize data from the ERP system.
The position as Lead Developer is broad and will include different responsibilities over the coming years as the project goes through implementation to a fully implemented system in operation. You will be part of a team of developers, IT consultants and architects, who have years of experience in supporting and maintaining our current finance systems or D365.
You will be part of the latest addition to the unit Fulfilment Management – People and Finance. Your skills and passion for Microsoft Cloud solutions, including Power platform and D365, will set the pace for a strong team, responsible for the essential ERP system to DFDS.
Main responsibilities
Working closely with the Technical Solution Architect and our implementation partners, you will play a key technical role in the design and implementation of our new ERP system. This includes your own research and development in D365, Power Platform and Azure. These areas are growing rapidly, and you will use the latest capabilities and tools from Microsoft as they become available.
Together with team members in the finance team you will take part in planning and leading the ERP implementation project. You will be a go-to person contributing with your broad development knowledge and experience.
Preferred professional candidate profile
The ideal candidate has experience in leading and developing within D365 Dynamics Finance, Power Platform and Azure. You have experience with implementing an ERP system in a large organization.

We imagine that:
- You have hands-on experience with and have been part of a successful implementation project using Dynamics 365 / AX, Power platform and Azure. Certifications is a plus.
- You are an experienced developer in one or more of the relevant languages: X++, C#, PowerShell etc.
- You want to lead a group of technical staff, including developers, in an ERP implementation project
- You have experience with LCS and Cloud deployments
- You possess a good understanding of Finance, HR and Procurement processes
- You have experience working with functional teams in support of business requirements
- You can do integration support of 3rd party applications
- You are a strong communicator in English and can ensure written and oral clarity
Preferred personal candidate profile
- You keep yourself up to date with trends within software development
- You form your own opinions about design and code, based on careful analysis, hands on and collaboration with colleagues and others. And you are not afraid to speak your mind.
- You have a curious mindset and can navigate in a complex myriad of Finance systems and integrations
- You know how to organize yourself and work systematically
- You are a social person, who engage yourself with colleagues, customers and collaborators
