The long-term mission of the programme is to develop fault-tolerant quantum computing hardware and quantum algorithms that solve life-science-relevant chemical and biological problems.

NQCP together with Quantum Foundry Copenhagen (QF), company founded by Novo Nordisk Foundation with the focus enabling QPU fabrication in the programme - has successfully established a Data Team. This innovative team has designed and launched a unified data platform for the program, housed within Microsoft Fabric. Since it's still the early days for the platform, a Data Engineer will have the opportunity to significantly impact the creation of structure and the working culture within the Data Team.

  • Optimize data flow and collection to meet the functional and non-functional organisation requirements.
  • Develop high-quality code in Python and SQL to manage and automate data processes.
  • Maintain and improve the existing database and ETL processes, ensuring their reliability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with NQCP teams to optimally design the integration and incorporation of various data sources into the existing data platform structure.
  • Implement data governance and security policies in line with organisation standards.

We expect:

  • At least 1 year 'hands on’ experience in developing data platforms or data warehouse solutions, preferably in Microsoft Azure
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Data Scientist, or similar role.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL
  • Knowledge of data warehousing solutions and familiarity with data integration tools.
  • DAX knowledge is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Your personality is analytical, structured, and curious. You are a team-player and work to develop the best solutions with input from highly skilled colleagues in interdisciplinary fields.
