You will join our multi-national Joint Venture team comprising resources from Ramboll, Arup and TEC
As our new Fehmarn belt fixed link intern, you will be part of our JV-team, comprising staff from 3 international consulting companies. Ramboll, Arup and TEC (RAT) has joined forces to deliver consulting services as the lead partner has entered this partnership to provide expertise services to Femern A/S, the company appointed by the Ministry of Transportation to undertake the construction of a fixed rail and road link across the Fehmarn belt.
The Fehmarn belt fixed link will include a main crossing immersed tunnel, access ramps and portals, land work connections on both the Danish and German side with tolling facilities and control center. Further, temporary production facilities for the tunnel elements will also be constructed as part of the scheme. You will be placed in Ramboll’s head office in Ørestad, Copenhagen, and the internship perios is expected to be 1st September 2020 to 31st January 2021.

- Structural analyses for immersed tunnel and cut & cover tunnels
- Settlement calculations for the tunnel
- Structural analyses of road bridges
- Comparison calculations involving Danish and German standards
- Sonic boom risk assessment, aerodynamic drag, train induced pressures in the immersed tunnel
- Assessment of spill quantities during excavation of tunnel seabed trench
- Construction Planning
- Environmental monitoring during construction
Your starting point for a future in the construction business
You will be supported by professional and experienced engineers, specialised in tunnel and civil engineering. For this intern position, we believe your starting point is:
- You are studying for a bachelor degree in engineering
- You specialise in analysis, design and civil engineering
- You are proficient in the Office package software and experienced enough to adopt various analysis tools and software
- You are confident with English, both written and spoken
