Join us as a key player in driving the Aller IT landscape forward to ensure alignment with the company’s strategic objectives. You will partner with solution architects, domain experts, business and IT leadership, to provide oversight and strategic direction in the enterprise using system architecture practices, principles and governance.
We are 4 experienced architects in the team including you, located in Copenhagen and Helsinki. Most of our time as a team goes into business projects. We support all business units, mainly in the Media and Travel lines of business today but will extend into E-Commerce going forward.
Your Role
In the role of Enterprise Architect in Aller IT, your main responsibility will be facilitation and alignment between business and IT. Most of your work will be framed by the IT strategy, so above all the tasks listed here, you are a key stakeholder to execute on the IT strategy.
In this role you have a lot of engagement and many relations with the business, sometimes as part of a project, but often in various ongoing ad-hoc dialogues and pre-analysis phases.
You will report to the Head of IT Architecture.

The above range of duties require you to have a broad set of skills.
Enterprise IT Governance and Enterprise Architecture:
We do not strictly follow a specific EA process, but you should have a sound knowledge of broadly used EA models and frameworks and be able to apply the principles and thoughts in your daily work. It is essential to direct the IT landscape towards the preferred states, consolidate when appropriate and possible and be a strong representative for the direction and strategy of Aller IT.
Consultancy:
The Enterprise Architect role at Aller requires you to act as an internal consultant. You can manage many stakeholders, you are comfortable in hosting workshops, you can prioritize and make the complex simple.
Solution Architecture:
The other members of the team are solution architects. As such, you will not do detailed specifications, but a solid technical foundation, maybe from development or system consulting, is an advantage.
Other qualifications:
The role requires you to have a very open minded and approaching personality. Reaching out, promoting dialogue and creating relations is just part of you.
You probably hold a Masters Degree in IT or other relevant domain. Experience from Media and Editorial Production in particular would be an advantage, but is not a requirement.

WORKING HOURS: Office hours.
LOCATION: Stockholm preferred, optionally Malmö or Copenhagen (Expect limited travel in the Nordics).

Your Role
In the role of Enterprise Architect in Aller IT, your main responsibility will be facilitation and alignment between business and IT. Most of your work will be framed by the IT strategy, so above all the tasks listed here, you are a key stakeholder to execute on the IT strategy.
- You will create, develop and maintain architecture artefacts i.e. Business Capability map, IT landscape diagrams, application portfolio, tech stacks and to some extend key business processes and other relevant insights.
- From a strategic and long term perspective, you will develop the EA discipline to leverage latest insights and practices on EA. Not necessarily using a framework end-to-end but apply practices as appropriate.
- You will measure and drive improvement of our Enterprise Architecture maturity score – based on COBIT guided self-assessment.
- For early stages of selected, larger projects, you will help scoping and forming the project from an architecture perspective – for design and specification, a Solution Architect will take over.
- Conduct non-functional assessments of new applications being onboarded.
- Occasionally, apply your overview and insight to create decision supporting material for boards and steering groups. Join board and steerco meetings as needed.
- For the Publishing Media capability, you will collaborate with the specialist team on the future state of the IT landscape within the capability. Here you will work on application roadmaps with the application specialist team, join the application management group and also have some exposure to the day to day activities.
