About the job
Trading Systems Technology Team comprises around 100 technologists across Copenhagen, Delhi and Amsterdam.
Our in-house designed and built Saxo Bank Trading System handles:
- More than 25,000 concurrent online trading clients 24 hours per day / 5.5 trading days per week
- More than 160,000 unique monthly users to our social trading portal
- In excess of 400,000 price feed updates per second
- Intraday execution and booking of up to 2000 trades per second
- Over 1,000,000 trade transactions processed daily
- Front Office Risk Management and
- Automated Market Making
We are on a journey towards loosely coupled systems with micro services and event driven functionality.
In some areas we are quite far, but we still have a long way to go – which means that there is lots of interesting challenges.
The AMMA (Automated Market Making Agent) team has the responsibility of services that handle automatic internalization, hedging and price influence. This responsibility goes all the way from initial analysis and design of new functionality through implementation and automatic test coverage, both unit test and functional test, to the actual rollout in live and monitoring of impact there and follow up on that.
Among other things the AMMA services are:
- Rule and algo based engines that monitor Saxo Bank’s internal exposure in different asset classes on different levels and takes decisions to internalize exposure in-house or to hedge it externally
- Similar engines that can influence pricing for instruments in different asset classes
- Building statistic information used as input for busines analysis
- Interfacing with trading components for trading, order placement and receival of events
- Interfacing with pricing components for getting prices and for distributing price influence
- Automatically functionally tested through SpecFlow scenarios that are specified by tester
Focus areas for software development within the team are:
- Stability
- Scalability
- Soft launching of changes
- Latency and performance
- Test driven development
- Code reviews and knowledge sharing
- Continuous deployment / delivery
The job involves
- Participation in cross-department projects
- Designing and developing feature enhancements
- Supporting the day-to-day running of our production system and various test environments
The team currently consists of 2 developers based in Copenhagen area, but has close corporation with the dedicated tester in the office in New Delhi area.
Your profile:
- Computer Scientist or Software Engineer
- Strong background across C#, server side
- Willingness to take ownership
- An open and collaborative attitude, willingness to be part of constructive professional discussions
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of multi-threading
- Experience with Microsoft Release Management and Git
- Experience with KAFKA
- Experience with Azure
- Fintech experience
Less experienced candidates with the right mindset and willingness to learn are also of interests to us.
