Group Finance in Saxo Bank is looking for a Lead Business Architect to assist in the Group’s transformational growth journey. Saxo Bank has recently decided to initiate a Future Finance program that aims to re-architect, automate, and digitalise the business processes within Group Finance. To achieve this, we will be replacing all the main systems supporting the finance organization.
In executing the projects, you will be working in cross-functional agile delivery teams where with participation from Finance SME’s, Business Analyst and Solution Designers & Developers.
Responsibilities
Do you match some of the responsibilities below?
- Guide and steer Group Finance to implement lean processes in scalable technology solutions.
- Collaboration with solution architects in the Finance Technology team to ensure we implement well-designed solutions support.
- Be the “bridge” between the technology development teams and the Finance teams to ensure that the design and implementation of new solutions deliver on the future finance aspirations.
- Drive the implementation of IT projects in the Future Finance program to ensure that implementation respects the priorities and guidelines provided by the Steering Committee.
- Provide guidance for the Business Analysts and help with analysis and specification work.
You will play a key role in defining and driving the development projects in the Future Finance program. You will act as the bridge between the Finance Teams and the Development Teams. Leaning on your deep knowledge of core finance processes and your experience in finance transformation programs you will guide and steer Finance to successfully architect and implement lean finance processes that can support the wider growth ambitions of Saxo Bank.
Qualifications
- You either have experience as Product Owner, Business Architect or Business Analyst.
- Experience from the Financial Sector, Technology Sector or from consulting.
- A solid understanding of accounting, performance management and financial instruments.
- You are able to engage with developers and business analysts.
- You can drive and advocate culture and organisational change, instilling a strong process culture.
- A good understanding of IT infrastructure and development workflows and working in agile teams.
As a person
You can build inter-company social-networks which requires excellent communication skills – connecting people with different functional and cultural backgrounds. You have a methodical approach to tasks and have an interest working with the interaction between people, processes and IT infrastructure. You like working in an international and fast-paced agile environment, while being a self-starter and team player.

Group Finance within Saxo Bank
The Group Finance division is responsible for the finance functions in the value chain within Saxo Bank; Finance and Accounting, Commercial Finance, Procurement and Treasury.
Some of the key responsibilities for the division include:
- External Statutory and Regulator Finance Reporting for the Saxo Bank Group and subsidiaries. Internal Performance Management Reporting for the Saxo Bank Group
- Financial Controlling
- Responsible for the Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay processes
- Finance Business Partnering
- Managing capital cost and regulation efficiently to generate an improved return on Equity
- Ensuring the Bank is in compliance with regulation and implementing proper risk control at all times as well as minimizing business risk on all aspects
- Providing solid and reliable tracking of customer activities
