Build pipelines, establish data lake, data warehouse and other cool stuff
Having access to the right data becomes still more crucial to make the right and best business decisions. That is why, we now want to be at the absolute forefront of technology with Azure and related solutions as our platform. You will be creating validated data sources to be consumed by the business using Power BI and Excel for reporting. As such, you will contribute to building a cutting-edge tabular model, and. Your primary tasks will be to:
- Build pipelines from source systems
- Establish the data lake and data warehouse
- Develop other tools to provide data for decision management
- Contribute to enhancing data quality and work on improving and optimizing data delivery
- Train citizen developers on how to use the validated data sources
- Ensure that data sources are exposed in accordance with business rules and that it is clearly documented what the data lineage is
You can look forward to work closely together with product owners, application developers, solution architects and the citizen developers. Your new workplace is Milestone’s headquarters in Brøndby, Greater Copenhagen – when not working from home as we naturally support flexible working conditions.
Experience with SQL and BI concepts and motivation for building Azure skills
We are looking for a colleague that thrives on being trusted to handle own tasks while at the same time enjoying being part of a team. We do not expect you to be an expert from day one, but we presume you are eager to learn new stuff. As you will be part of a big organization with loads of IT professionals like yourself, you must have an open and pragmatic attitude towards feedback – and also bring a bit of patience as our team’s backlog must be coordinated with many other initiatives. Additionally, your CV and cover letter will reflect your:
- Experience with SQL and BI concepts
- Motivation for building knowledge and skills within Azure cloud-based services like Data Factory, Analysis Services, Data Catalog etc.
- Experience with and motivation for delivering high quality documentation
- Motivation for learning colleagues how to use and benefit from your solutions
- Experience with Devops
Your new team
Your will join a growing team of currently 5 experienced IT professionals with responsibility for Milestones Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence, Identity and Access Management, HCM and Integration/middleware solutions. The team is part of Business Application Development in Global IT where you will get more than 30 new colleges.
