We are now building a new QA team in our R&D organization around the discipline of Quality Assurance for Medical Devices (Software and Hardware), and we are looking for a department head that can breathe our vision to life. The position is located at our HQ in Denmark; we are open to global applicants that are willing to relocate. The position Your responsibilities are:
  • To own our formal R&D process system.
    • Your team members are facilitating, designing, and contributing to R&D’s process governance. We expect our existing Quality Management System to be state-of-the-art, to be continuously evolving, and to be easy to explain and understand.
  • To be R&D anchor on high-priority, cross-functional change projects
    • Regulations, standards, and requirements are evolving. We, as an organisation, need to adapt when important changes occur. Examples could be implementation of Internet Security Management (ISO 27001) or transition to the latest version of Risk Management for Medical Devices (ISO 14971:2019).
  • To ensure projects in development have the right level of QA support
    • Our Project teams are often in need of a friend when it comes time to run processes crucial to medical device compliance, such as Risk Management, Usability Studies, and Information Security Management. Your team must be that pillar of support. Furthermore, our documentation packages must be continuously reviewed and submitted to authorities.
  • Finally, to own the QA department and nurture the team’s mission.
    • This includes operational tasks, such as recruiting, day-to-day management, task planning, and prioritization, as well as strategic development of the area. Qualifications We are looking for a person that has:
  • Knowledge in the Medical QA arena (Medical Devices or similar).
  • Previous management experience or interest in growing in that direction.
  • A mindset that thrives in an empowered and collaborative environment.
  • A relevant educational background or experience.
  • Proficiency in English as this is our working language.
  • Knowledge of Agile Software development a plus.
  • Knowledge of Hardware development also a plus.
