If you are looking for an opportunity to work with world leading products on the journey to the cloud, this job is your perfect match. As part of our Product Architecture team, you will play an important role in defining the future state of our software products and services.

Lead the way to the cloud
Milestone is a world leader within Video Management Systems. We are building a SaaS solution that extends the on-premises systems with cloud capabilities. Your job is to contribute with expertise and insight on cloud technologies and architecture and act as a trusted advisor for the product teams.

You will set direction for the cloud architecture and engage with product teams, architects, engineering managers, and other stakeholders. You will take part in designing technical strategies to evolve the Milestone ecosystem, enable the product teams to realize the vision, and resolve blockers. You will be a driving force in transforming the company from an on-premises application provider to a hybrid provider offering both on-premises and cloud solutions.
To succeed in the position, you need the ability to grasp complex challenges and explore solution spaces. You will provide guidance and coach others - enabling them to make good decisions.
Your new workplace is the global HQ of Milestone in Brøndby, Greater Copenhagen, Denmark. You will also be collaborating with teams from our other development sites in Sofia, Bulgaria and Barcelona, Spain.

As a part of a global company with an international focus, you can look forward to travelling up to 15-20 days per year to meet colleagues, partners, and customers - and to attend relevant events and conferences.

Documented results creating cloud-native solutions

As an architect, we expect you to be able to put a holistic perspective to problems at hand without losing sight of the important details. Your road to success to a wide extent relies on your ability to turn challenges and problems into solutions – you have an optimistic belief in that there always is a way forward.
Your CV should contain:

  • 10 years of hands-on experience with software development
  • 3 years of experience as an architect in a public cloud environment (preferably AWS)
  • Hands-on experience with containers & microservices
