The HW Operations are a business line within the successful Milestone System Group offering a state-of-the-art unit with the Milestone VMS software (XProtect) preloaded. Since Milestone Systems is a software company, the Husky HW Operations business will require a team with the ability to introduce new units while maintaining existing models.
Joining the HW Operations team, you will help ensure that our products and processes are in place for the sales and support organization to place orders and to support the manufactured products.
The HW Operations team also have the sourcing and manufacturing responsibility within the group.
As a member of the AWS and Calculators team within the HW Operations department, you will work in a team of highly skilled engineers responsible for maintaining current calculator as well as developing new functionality and performance calculation algorithms. You will be working together with multiple functions in Milestone, securing performance data, introducing, and qualifying new functionality, ensuring quality, providing input and requirements to development of new products as well as investigating new technologies.
Responsibilities:
• Client computer and server system performance optimization for surveillance
architectures.
• Participate in delivering our System Design tool through setting up and run
performance testing of the systems for provisioning of data.
• Setting up server / Network Video Recorder system for test and proof of concept.
• Building custom computers (test benches) for performance testing in our lab.
• Creating and specifying typical Reference Architectures for different verticals
and usage profiles.
• Contribute to our Book of Quality.
• Being an active contributor to the team, providing new ideas and solutions for way
of working with performance testing and its data.
• Stay up to date with current development methodologies, design patterns and
technologies.

Desired qualifications
• You are probably currently enrolled in a higher education (Msc or Bsc) in the field
of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering or Computer Engineering
• You must be fluent in English (oral and written).
• Knowledge in both the HW and SW setup of Computers/servers
• General Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office knowledge
• Genuine interest in computers and the computer industry
• Creative problem-solving skills.
