You will be part of the Security Team that are responsible for all aspects of security in Milestone software. This includes on-premise software products, cloud services, and appliances. You will be part of a great team of professional, talented colleagues where you will have a unique opportunity to shape your job role.
You should have in-depth knowledge of standard classes of product security vulnerabilities and attack as well as defense methodologies. Your role requires excellent communication skills, as you will be working closely with many stakeholders from different departments in the company.

About the role:
- Leverage attack tools to test software for security vulnerabilities
- Evaluate new technologies and processes that enhance security capabilities
- Lead and own the vulnerability management process – triage, coordinate mitigations
and disclosure of security-related issues
- Provide architectural guidance and leadership on best practices regarding security in
software development
- Drive our security development lifecycle, including early engagement with development
teams to ensure that security is incorporated into products and services from start
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, training and education to development teams
- Continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies
The Team:
The security team in Milestone is responsible for that all our products and service have the highest possible security posture. The primary areas of responsibility are:
- Establishing policies, processes and a culture for secure software development.
- Performs penetration testing of our products and services.
- Work with the development teams evaluating security designs.
- Provide constructive feedback and think out-of-box on improving architectures,
designs and technologies.
- Handle security incidents.
- Provides security guidance and training in various forms for the organization. This can
be on-the-stage technical presentations, targeted training in smaller groups, different
forms of training materials such a crafted vulnerabilities/exploits for demonstration
purposes, creating and hosting CTF-events etc.
In the Milestone security team, we have lots of fun doing what we love – finding vulnerabilities in software designs and implementations, exploit them, and communicate how to fix and prevent. We continuously educate our selves and shares that knowledge with passion throughout the organization to ensure a software development culture that has security at its core.
Education & Experience:
- You have experience working with security aspects of software design, development
and testing
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in .NET technologies and .NET security
- Experience with product and application security, including network security,
application security,
SOAP and RESTful services, SSO, OAuth/JWT, Windows operating systems and
vulnerability assessment
- Experience performing threat modelling and design reviews to assess security
implications
Skills & Competencies:
- Programming experience in one or more of the following languages: C/C++, .NET/C#
and Python
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
- Good understanding of Windows/Linux operating systems, software vulnerabilities and
exploitation techniques
- Fundamental knowledge of SSH, TCP/IP, UDP, SSL/TLS, HTTP, HTTPS, PKI, DNS and
other common protocols.
- Able to demonstrate to developers how to use the application security components to
mitigate security vulnerabilities in applications, services, and databases
- Familiarity with the tools for various security activities: Static Code Analysis, Pen Testing,
Intrusion Detection/Prevention, etc.
- Certifications are desirable (Offensive Security, eLearnSecurity, or other information
security certifications), but not a requirement.

strive at being on top of new software security trends and technologies
- You possess a solid ability to build relationships and create trust with both internal and
external stakeholders
- As a person, you have a strong quality mindset
- Ability to track and lead numerous parallel activities
- You are open to new ideas and embrace changes
- You display initiative and drive
