As Test Manager you are responsible for ensuring that changes spanning more than one IT area or team is properly tested in System Integration Test (SIT) and that a User Acceptance Test is defined and executed. In addition, you ensure that the subsequent deployments to production are coordinated across teams

Your focus is on planning and coordinating the test and release to ensure that changes have a high quality across areas. Each team is responsible for ensuring the quality of their own work, and the test specialists in the teams will in most cases be involved in the SIT. Likewise, the business units involved will create the test cases they need and provide the resources to execute those.

To fulfill this role, you need to:

  • Formulate and document a test strategy and plan for the change
  • Follow up on progress in both planning (e.g., do we have the test cases needed for both SIT and UAT) and execution of the SIT and UAT
  • Ensure that relevant stakeholders have transparency on the plans and status

To do this you will work closely with both business and IT stakeholder including but not limited to Delivery Managers (responsible for complex deliveries across teams and/or business units), Product Owners, Team Leads, Test Specialist and Business Specialists.

You will refer to the head of Business Application Development and be part of building a test community in that area.

Qualifications and preferred skills:
You have a degree in Engineering or Computer Science with several year of experience from the IT industry and 4+ years of experience as a tester or test manager within agile methodologies.

We also hope you will bring some of the following:

  • Relevant education and certifications within the field – e.g. ITSQB Test Manager, Test Management, Operational Test Management or similar
  • A good understanding of Release processes and methodologies
  • A good understanding of engineering functions and processes in an agile methodology
  • Humor is part of your DNA
  • You are structured in your approach to work and good at delegating and organizing
  • Excellent communication skills and English skills at high level both verbally and in writing

The department and team
Our purpose in Business Application Development is to deliver application changes and support to Business Systems, to ensure that application delivery capacity can scale and flexibly extend and reduce, to ensure that applications are built and changed with maintenance and operation in mind and that applications and processes around changing them are continuously refined and optimized.

For Information management our ambition is to enable data-driven decisions based on validated data, making it easy for all business units to create material for decisions based on a shared truth, in compliance with data regulations and company policies

We are a multinational group (11 different nationalities across 34 colleagues) in four major teams and part of an ever-growing organization covering a wide spectrum of business applications from our B2B sales portal, HR, ERP and CRM systems to our major externally facing websites and tools, Business Intelligence, Integration platforms and smaller internal systems
