Versatile responsibility centred on global services for advanced licensing
You will join our Advanced Licensing team that is responsible for a cornerstone in Milestone’s business model. The team owns a suite of approx. 20 services, e.g. activation and on-going validation of licenses to customers all over the world.
Some services are rather old, and to prepare ourselves for the future we are steadily updating services and bring them to new platforms to utilize new technologies including cloud. As part of this, we have recently begun utilizing API Management in Azure as a way to expose our services. We expect to expand this usage as well as employ other Azure services. Your arrival should also strengthen our ability to effectively make use of Azure and cloud infrastructure and accelerate our transition.
We expect you to actively contribute to all phases and domains of the development lifecycle including:
• Solution design
• Testing (manual and mainly automated)
• Deployment to all environments
• Operations (incl. improving ability to monitor services and proactively remediate
incidents)
• On-going development of the team’s methods, tools, processes, and interfaces

Team player with C# experience, .Net core and Azure (IaC) know-how
To succeed in our team, you must like to work with all kinds of tasks and show equal dedication no matter the task as versatility is a highly valued quality. We expect that you are the primary expert in some areas but we additionally expect you to getting others onboard and sharing the ownership.
You must also be able to make decisions with a sound judgement of risks versus potential value. Maybe you can even challenge the business based on understanding of user needs and the ability to translate complex tech stuff into understandable English. In addition, your resume comprises:
• Experience with development in C#, .NET Core and Azure infrastructure and services
• Probably experience from transferring services from internal infrastructure to a cloud
centric setup (IaC)
• Good understanding of solid design principles and design patterns in general
• Ability to build and maintain utility or automation scripts
• Good communication skills in English, written and spoken

You will join an agile working team of 4 seasoned software engineers from Denmark, Hungary, and Colombia. Our Student Worker is from India. In that way, we mirror the rest of Milestone that is a truly international company.
