Saxo Bank is looking for a Senior Lead Developer with a strong .Net and C# background and proven success as a technical team lead to join the Open API Framework team.
Our ideal candidate is a developer and mentor who is experienced in building and running complex, robust and high performant distributed systems and an accustomed communicator who can handle the ecosystem of support and stakeholder management.
Experience with streaming technologies is considered an advantage.
The Open API and the Open API Framework team
Saxo Banks Open API is a REST-like API on the HTTP protocol with streaming support, that provides access to our entire capital markets infrastructure, including instrument and client portfolio data, charts, quotes, order placement, lead sign-up and event notifications.
The Open API Framework teams purpose is to:
- provide the Open API Framework used for developing Open API services
- provide shared components for the Open API services
- support stakeholders and service developers using the Open API Framework; help resolve problems, provide guidance relating to the framework, processes and ways to improve service development
The Role
- Technical lead and expert for the team
- Collaborate with business owners and stakeholders in identifying and implementing requirements and translate ideas into technical specifications
- Overview support of the Open API Framework with front-end developers, API developers and architects
- Plan, build, extend and maintain the Open API Framework
- Plan, build and maintain scalable shared infrastructure components e.g. authorization, caching, streaming services and various libraries
- Engage in transition of Open API services to cloud
- Perform root cause analysis for production incidents
- Operational responsibility: deploying, managing and monitoring production environment
- Ensuring knowledge of key components is anchored in the team and in adequate documentation of software, processes and procedures
- Set the technical direction of the Open API Framework team – be a visionary, technical expert and mentor for team members to grow them as well as the team.
- Participate and present in Open API Framework demos and Q&A sessions to improve and evolve our software and processes
The Qualifications
To succeed in this role, we believe you will need:
- 7+ years’ experience with and in-depth knowledge of .Net and C# - an interest in and intrinsic understanding of JIT compiler, garbage collection, asynchronous programming and concurrency
- High tolerance towards context switching
- Demonstrated knowledge of software development of REST API’s and framework/shared component architecture
- Robustness in handling support and stakeholders
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerization
- Experience with testing and test automation
- Strong communication skills in English
