As a Solution Architect, you will use your knowledge and experience to identify, understand and transform customer requirements into IT solutions characterized by NNIT’s quality. This will often be as the Lead Architect for large and complex customer projects where you fulfill the role of a consultant and trusted advisor. You will be responsible for turning vision into a value-adding business solution and making sure it is well adopted and praised by our customers.
You will be an important member of the leadership team that consults on behalf of leading pharmaceutical, medical devices and biotechnology companies. Responsibilities will include preparing engagement estimates, leading workshops and lead the technical tracks e.g. migration teams and integration teams.
NNIT Life Science Solutions’ customers are the leading pharma companies geographically spread across Europe and occasionally in the US.
Your responsibilities as Architect
- Act as the Lead End-to-End solution architect on highly complex IT projects and consultancy assignments with focus on the application layer
- Analyze, documents and clarify our customers’ business objectives (functional and non-functional) in order to design viable technical IT solutions
- Drive the design and implementation of effective integration and migration of the required solution components
- Ensure all required architectural decisions are made, documented and implemented in a timely manner
- Ensure all necessary industry documentation standards are followed
- Work closely with the customer, your colleagues in NNIT Life Science Solutions as well as internal stakeholders to ensure the quality of deliverables
- Identify technical risks inherent in the solutions against the underlying business requirements
- Be able to think end-to-end solution architecture applying all necessary solution components using a sound and methodical approach
- Actively participate in the overall NNIT architectural direction influencing projects assigned to you, including the identification of approaches, tools, and techniques to meet the given requirements

Your qualifications and experience
- Minimum of 15 years of overall technical experience is required
- At least 5 years of professional experience in Solution Architecture, System Implementation, System Integration and Data Migration
- Excellent consulting mindset coupled with the ability to sell solutions by exercising your drive for results
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, including a wide range of architectures and technologies
- Passion to solve highly difficult technical challenges and the ability to create architecture for complicated IT solutions
- As a Life Science Solution Architect, you handle your customer interaction in a professional way with high level of respect for the customer’s requirements
- Experience with the pharmaceutical industry and GxP applications
- Track record of success acting as a customer – facing technical lead
- Self-motivated team player with strong customer orientation and ability to work in multinational and multicultural environment.
You might also have experience with:
- Applying ITIL or TOGAF frameworks
- DevOps, Agile, Scrum
- Veeva Vault SaaS, Informatica, safety data management systems (AERs, Argus, Clintrace, ARISg), regulated content management (Documentum, NextDocs, D2), CTMS (Medidata Rave, Seibel), or quality management (TrackWise)
- Developing code in Java, SQL, JavaScript, Web-API’s, .net, C# or other languages
- Implementing a technical solution to accommodate EU GDPR, IDMP or other standards
- Large-scale migration or integration projects
- Knowledge with multiple software products and are comfortable with complex heterogeneous systems
- Knowledge of pharma domains and experience within GxP regulatory requirements for IT systems
