About the Role
About the Role
You'll play a key role in creating a streamlined foundation, standardized workflows, and tooling supporting the creation of all Milestone products, including server applications, web services, and mobile apps. Your contributions will ensure that the developers have all the capabilities they need to create their software, get the required insight from it as well as ensure it is secure and reliable.
You will be instrumental in shaping the platform, influencing its architecture, selecting tools, establishing standards, and promoting a strong engineering culture. If you have experience working with developer platforms or the tooling surrounding modern applications/services and a deep understanding of developer needs, this is your chance to contribute at a core level.

Collaboration fuels your work; you enjoy knowledge sharing and mentoring others. Resourceful troubleshooting and excellent prioritization skills (in partnership with stakeholders) are essential. Beyond technical expertise within the technologies listed below, you're eager to shape the direction of our internal developer platform.
Proficiency with DevOps tools and practices, such as CI/CD pipelines and configuration management.
Strong knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Helm Charts, Kafka, Istio).
Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Terraform and GitHub Actions.
Experience with the ELK Stack, Grafana or Prometheus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Relevant degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.

Develop and maintain our Internal Developer Platform to streamline and enhance the Developer Experience.
Design and implement the "Golden Path" to provide developers with the best practices and streamlined processes.
Utilize your firsthand experience with various DevOps workflows and platform tooling to optimize our workflows and processes.
Establish and run an observability platform to provide insights into our products and platforms, both in the cloud and on air-gapped systems.
Monitor and establish proactive measures to resolve potential issues, ensuring optimal platform performance.
Collaboratively design and implement solutions in a hybrid infrastructure to support a diverse range of on-premises, mobile, and cloud-based applications.
Contribute to the development of secure, compliant, scalable and maintainable solutions through excellent coding skills.
