Are you excited about IT architecture and how to find the best suited IT solutions for a research area that are developing the next generation medicine? An area where we are embarking on an IT transformation journey, but have IT legacy that needs to be integrated to keep the momentum and speed in the drug development. About the department
You will be part of a very dynamic department with committed IT Project Managers who are responsible for the major IT projects in the area. The department is part of Global IT, and we have focus on Research and Device R&D. We have close collaboration with the business and within Global IT (e.g. Global Infrastructure and Global Security) to ensure we choose the best solutions for both.
The position
You will be IT Solution Architect with focus on Research and Device R&D. You will be involved in both strategic IT projects and smaller projects – and you will be responsible for finding the best suited solution for the business and from an architectural point of view. You will be asked to follow the guidance set by Enterprise Architecture and in general be in close dialogue with Enterprise Architecture. As the IT Solution Architect, you will be responsible for the long-term, strategic outlook of the IT landscape and responsible for keeping up to date on new IT technology trends and industry standards. It will be expected that you proactively seek opportunities for IT optimizations – e.g. process/system/ platform improvements or alignments and you will be heading up IT analysis and pre-projects where relevant.
The Research area has multiple Research Centres outside Denmark, so all IT solutions must encounter a global perspective.
Qualifications
You have a master’s degree within Engineering, IT or similar and have 7-8 years of experience within IT infrastructure (incl. cloud) and integration. You have worked as an IT architect for several years and maybe experience from working within the research domain either from your current career or alternatively from the university. You are proactive, curious and you want to take the lead in ensuring the best IT solutions.
You are a good communicator across functions, levels, and cultures and you can listen and understand the IT and business complexities and translate these into opportunities. You have a solid understanding and experience of infrastructure, incl. cloud infrastructure and integration.
