About the department
The R&ED IT Lab Solutions team is a new team within R&ED IT anchored in Digital, Data & IT (DD&IT). The department consists of 10 people divided between Business Analysts, an IT Policy Manager, an IT Service Manager, an IT Security Manager, and onsite IT supporters that assist the research labs globally with their day2day IT challenges on their +1000 Lab IT systems. R&ED IT is together with R&ED driving an aspirational digital and automation agenda that will require new IT solutions and services enabling R&ED to reach their ambitious goals of new discoveries.
The department has a close link to all research sites but is anchored at the Måløv site in Denmark. The R&ED IT Lab Solutions team supports the scientists and technicians and their research all over the world, offering opportunities to visit other sites, e.g., Beijing, Oxford, Seattle, and Fremont.
As this is a new department, there will be plenty of opportunities to develop your skills along the journey. Furthermore, partaking in shaping the future of the R&ED IT Lab Solutions department will be very rich.
About the position
Significant for the role, will be your responsibility of designing and implementing new IT solutions to our scientists and technicians in the research labs. As part of the digital and automation agenda new devices are entering the labs and this requires an experienced skill set as solution architect to design connectivity, remote access and a solution that lives up to the IT security standards in Novo Nordisk. This will require you to have a hands-on approach to your assignments, as you will be tested on your overall architectural knowledge as well as hands-on experience.
Furthermore, your involvement in the shaping of the long-term strategic direction of the field, as well as ensuring a coherent technical architectural overview, will be important.
It is required of you to drive the dialogue and challenge both vendors and the Global Information Security to design the best possible IT solutions for the IT systems used in the research labs.
You will also be part of a global network of IT architects in Digital, Data, and IT in Novo Nordisk where you can get sparring and insights into new technologies used elsewhere in Novo Nordisk.

You are a good communicator across functions, levels, and cultures. You can listen as well as understand the IT and business complexities and be able to translate these into opportunities.
You are innovative, curious and you want to take the lead in ensuring connectivity in research labs, while meeting the NN standards and procedures. You possess significant analytical skills and are capable of networking and implementing solutions globally, as you will work closely with many different research sites. Furthermore, you can contribute to the consulting of projects which affect our corporate infrastructure.
You have at least 3 years of experience with IT-architecture and understand the importance of user experience and performance.

Requirements
Qualifications

You have at least 3 years of experience with IT-architecture and understand the importance of user experience and performance.
It is required of you to have:
- A degree at minimum BA level of science or similar level graduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems)
- Experience with IT-infrastructure solutions and network infrastructure working with hardware devices, such as PC, but other platforms will be relevant as well, e.g., Apple devices and 3D printers
- Experience with Windows and potentially also Linux
- Experience with firewalls, antivirus protection and connectivity
- Experience with network services such as remote desktop, SCCM, AD, GPO
- Good communication skills in English, written and orally
