Exciting lead position with management and monitoring of Blockchain nodes
For our client Concordium, we are looking for a Lead DevOps to fill this new position in their highly qualified Tech team in Aarhus, Denmark.
As Lead DevOps you will be responsible for taking part in and managing the DevOps activities together with a small team of DevOps engineers.
Concordium is a software company developing blockchain-based solutions for enterprises. Concordium is deeply rooted in science and the Tech team works closely with COBRA at Aarhus University and ETH Zurich. It is the first blockchain with identification built into the protocol to meet regulatory requirements while delivering a user-friendly platform that can handle smart contracts.
Your role and responsibilities
Concordium will launch their mainnet in Q2 2021 and will, as part of this, be hosting a number of nodes supporting their blockchain. To help manage these nodes you will organise the team and the tasks related to this and take part in the daily management and monitoring of these nodes.
The nodes will be running at different Cloud Service Providers around the world with strict requirements to their availability and security.
We are therefore looking for a person who can help with among other responsibilities:
- Ensure the required level of monitoring
- Handle incidents in a timely manner
- Organise work processes to ensure that nodes and services are managed according to the required security policy
- Organise and follow up on the tasks
- Handle external distribution of our software
- Plan and execute deployments with DevOps team
- Handle the relation with the cloud service providers
About you
You to have a relevant IT education and experience within the mentioned areas of responsibility.
It is expected that you have experience in managing servers at various Cloud Service Providers.

Concordium is developed by professionals with global multi-sector experience and in collaboration with the Concordium Blockchain Research Center Aarhus (COBRA) at Aarhus University and Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH). The network will eventually be fully decentralized, the code open source, and further development orchestrated through an advanced governance mechanism.
Blockchain technology
Blockchain technology is one of the most important innovations in recent times. The technology will rationalize financial systems and support user-owned platforms, provenance, and rights registration. However, the technology needs to mature in respect to safety, accountability, and usability before mainstream business will start building true infrastructure on blockchains. Concordium will provide this mature blockchain technology to the world.
