We are experiencing significant growth and we therefore want to expand our technical department with an ambitious and energetic PLC & Automation Engineer, who can develop PLC solutions as well as electrical documentation for the production and installation of our ballast water management systems onboard ships.

In short, your fields of responsibility are:
  • Programming of customised PLC programs for the installation and integration of our systems onboard ships. We work in the Siemens TIA Portal 15.1, Siemens HMI (WinCC comfort or Advanced). You are expected to master this.
  • Preparation and review of electrical documentation of our products for use in production and installation.
  • Retrofit projects with customers that can include ship inspections, drawing preparation and documentation of BWMS installations.


You should expect a travel activity up to 40 days/year, in relation with tests, customer visits, courses etc.

Profile and abilities:
The most important criterion is the fact that you have a playful approach to new technologies and a great deal of interest in programming devices, including the coherence and interfaces between equipment and programs.
  • Technical background such as PLC programmer, Automation Engineer or automation specialist
  • Solid knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal, Siemens HMI (WinCC comfort or Advanced) and Industry 4.0
  • You are able to build strong relationships both internally and externally
  • You will have interface internally and externally and it is essential that you have a commercial mindset, and you are a good communicator
  • You have a practical approach to all tasks
  • Experience is an advantage, especially from the maritime industry
  • Responsibility, positive energy and development potential are weighed very high
  • You have the ability to gain knowledge and master new technology on your own
