Coalescent Mobile Robotics ApS, Odense, Denmark, is looking for a UI UX Designer & Frontend Developer.

This is a full-time position, to start as soon as possible. Salary and warrants to be negotiated based on experience.

Who we are

We are a dynamic startup in the robotics industry, building fleets of mobile robots to automate the transportation of goods within supermarkets. Our diverse team of approximately twenty individuals from nearly just as many countries collaborates on cutting-edge technology to revolutionize the industry. The Odense based office is an informal environment, with over seventeen languages spoken among us. English is the primary language used for daily communication, fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment. Joining our skilled cross-functional development team means participating in challenging projects such as autonomous navigation in densely populated store areas, fleet management orchestration, and precision driving.

We are seeking a highly skilled UI UX Designer & Frontend Web Developer with a passion for designing and developing complex interactive data-rich applications. As a key member of our development team, you will play a crucial role in creating intuitive and engaging user interfaces for our autonomous mobile robot and fleet management system. Your primary responsibility will be to design and implement visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces that deliver a delightful user experience and in order to do that, you will need to interact with customers and gather feedback. This will be a technically challenging task as we seek to empower the user to have the necessary control over a complex robot fleet with real-time insights via a simple and intuitive interface targeting phone, tablet, and desktop platforms.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Develop an interface that enables users to easily edit and manage robot routes, pick-up and drop-off locations, and other related parameters.
  • Implement controls that allow users to customize robot trajectory, angle, and approach to docking and charging stations for efficient operations.
  • Display real-time information about the entire fleet, providing users with an overview of the operational state at a glance.
  • Enable users to drill down for further details and access specific information about individual robots.
  • Ensure that the interface is responsive and optimised for use on various devices, including phones, tablets, and desktops.

General Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the backend team to integrate the frontend interface with the fleet management system's data and services.
  • Implement data visualization techniques to present information in a visually appealing and easily comprehensible manner.
  • Continuously iterate and improve the interface based on user feedback and usability testing.
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in frontend technologies and best practices for data-rich applications.
