Blue Ocean Robotics - develops, produces and sells professional service robots primarily in healthcare, hospitality, construction and agriculture. The portfolio of robots includes such brands as Beam Robots; a mobile telepresence robot for communication, social inclusion and CO2 reductions. UVD Robots; a mobile robot for disinfection. PTR Robots; a mobile robot for safe patient handling and rehabilitation; as well as others.
Blue Ocean Robotics develops the robots from problem, idea and design to development, commercialization, and all the way to exit. Each robot is moved into its own subsidiary-venture company, making Blue Ocean Robotics the world’s first Robot Venture Factory. Among other things, Blue Ocean Robotics has won one of the robot industry’s most prestigious international awards, the IERA Award 2019.
As a Full Stack Robotics Software Development Assistant, you will be assisting in our visionary roadmap team, responsible for testing and developing on the edge possible features for our robots, as well as improving already existing features on the robots. You will be working on solutions that will potentially go in all of our robots or be part of our shared cloud platform.

The ideal candidate
- You are in the later half of a relevant software related education
- You have an interest in working with data collection and participating in a continuously growing DevOps environment
- You are capable of both coding custom solutions from bottom-up, but also selecting the right existing tool for the job and setting them up
We expect you to be strong in the following skills:
- Some experience with coding. We use mainly C++ and Python.
- Interest in cloud architecture and services, for instance GCP or Amazon
- Knowledge of relevant front-end frameworks
- An interest in evolving as a programmer in regards to writing readable and well-structured code
- Have heard of good coding practices, as for instance the SOLID principles or Clean Code as defined by Robert C. Martin.
- The ability to work independently with a good sense of responsibility and ownership.
- A goal oriented mind.
