Blue Ocean Robotics - develops, produces and sells professional service robots primarily in healthcare, hospitality, construction and agriculture. The portfolio of robots includes such brands as Beam Robots; a mobile telepresence robot for communication, social inclusion and CO2 reductions. UVD Robots; a mobile robot for disinfection. PTR Robots; a mobile robot for safe patient handling and rehabilitation; as well as others.
Blue Ocean Robotics develops the robots from problem, idea and design to development, commercialization, and all the way to exit. Each robot is moved into its own subsidiary-venture company, making Blue Ocean Robotics the world’s first Robot Venture Factory. Among other things, Blue Ocean Robotics has won one of the robot industry’s most prestigious international awards, the IERA Award 2019.
As a Navigation and Perception Development Assistant , you will be placed in our team of skilled robotics engineers with the responsibility to develop our new navigation infrastructure and potentially our new state of the art SLAM algorithm.

The ideal candidate
- You are studying a robotics- or software related profession in university or similar educational institution
- You have shown a strong interest in the field of mobile robotics and you could see yourself build a career within the field of mobile robotics
- You have had either real-life experience or participated in some courses in the field of mobile robotics and/or 3D SLAM and you have development experience in a relevant technical environment.
We expect you to know something about the following areas:
- 3D perception using point clouds and/or vision sensors.
- Basic knowledge of robotic navigation and 3D SLAM
- Ability to write readable and well-structured C++ code
- Knowledge of the ROS ecosystem
- The ability to work independently with a good sense of responsibility and ownership.
- A goal oriented mind.
