As a Data Engineer, you work with Azure data services and are involved in solving our customers' challenges. The idea is that you get to develop your skills in versatile projects. They don't expect you to be a ready-made Azure guru, but rather your interest in working on projects and trying new things. They do, however, value solid expertise in, for example, data analytics, data storage, reporting, API platforms, or IoT solutions.
At zure, the Data Engineer's toolkit includes, for example, data modeling, data storage, and the design and implementation of data pipelines. The projects are purely based on cloud technologies, which are used to build modern data platforms for customers based on both data lakehouses and most traditional data storage. Regarding technologies, they use all the Microsoft ecosystem data services, the most common being Synapse, Databricks, and the newest newcomer, Microsoft Fabric, which they have worked with since the release.
For zure, Data Engineer does not mean that you work exclusively with data warehouses, but you can work with, for example, IoT solutions, APIs, Power BI, data quality management, and message-based architectures.
Data processing using software development methods.
zurella data platforms are built using the same agile methods and practices as all application development projects. DataOps, Infrastructure as Code, Git, and DevOps are commonplace in zure's data projects and not just words in presentations and recruitment posts.
If you have a few years’ experience with data storage solutions or analytics and eager to work with modern data platforms, you will certainly not be disappointed with working at zure. As stated previously, it’s not a requirement to know everything in advance.
