This role is an unique opportunity to join the central data team in one of Europe's most ambitious and fast-growing hosting companies with more than +2m customers. You will work closely with the controlling teams of team.blue to create financial transparency and high-quality data to support decision making.
About the job
As a BI consultant you will be part of a small team responsible for all areas of the central team.blue Data Warehouse. Together with the rest of the team, you will develop and maintain the Data Warehouse and help us take the financial steering to the next level. Your work assignments center around back-end development, focusing on building optimized data cubes with best-in-class load performance to support the front-end reporting performed in Tableau, Power BI, or other similar tools.
You will help us integrate newly acquired businesses into the central Data Warehouse and you will help us improve and expand already existing structures to enable an even more data-driven approach. To do so, we aim to increase the data available centrally and over time broaden our scope beyond the financial area with metrics which enables us to do more advanced data driven analysis.
The central data team is anchored in the Group Business Controlling, and the priorities and collaboration in the team are aligned daily with full involvement from team members and the manager.
Current scope of the Business Controlling team is:
· Reporting of monthly financials via front-end tools (DWH/Tableau)
· Facilitation of budgeting and forecasting processes including design and development of automated models
· Design and implementation of SaaS metrics (DWH/Tableau)
· Participation in M&A analyses (DWH/Tableau)
· Ad hoc analyses
Your profile
You are self-driven, ambitious, collaborative, and able to effectively and independently translate new ideas into concrete measures. You can communicate with all levels of organization and translate the technical language into a more business-friendly language when translating business requests into technical solutions.
Part of the role will be to deliver according to time constraints and focus on more projects simultaneously. The right candidate can cope with this and has a proven track record from similar positions.
The candidate holds a candidate degree or similar and has more than 6 years of relevant experience.
Technical skills required
· T-SQL on Microsoft sql server platform
· Experience with server integrations services (SSIS)
Preferred:
· Power query (M) or C# programming skills to work with data extraction from non-relational data sources.
· Sql server analysis services, tabular
· Master data services (MDS)
· Tableau
