Software Designer for network and protocol implementation Are you looking for your next career opportunity? The Job
DEIF is looking for a Software Developer to our development department named ‘Platform Software’. The department focus is on low-level platform software and perform a number of different tasks ranging from development of new platforms/products but also adding in new protocols and communication possibilities into existing product platforms. We deliver solutions to all our platforms and support all segments in DEIF (Wind Power, Marine & Offshore and Land Power).
We are currently experiencing a higher customer focus on communication (both secured, open, standard and proprietaries protocols). Therefore, you will be focusing on network in general (Ethernet and more industrial versions, and protocols. We are currently focusing on protocols like EtherCat, Profi-bus (master/slave DP-1), Modbus and Can-bus, but expect to expand the scope soon and rapidly. A natural part of your work will touch other disciplines like Cyber Security, IEC demands and encryption.
Your tasks will include:
The Person
You have an engineering background or similar experience/education that enable you to complete the above-mentioned tasks. You have experience with protocols in an embedded C environment and preferably also experience with development on embedded Linux platforms. Since most of our product is handling 3-phased AC power, it is an advantage if you know about 3-phase theory and generator/power management applications, but it is not a pre-requisite.

- Software module-/platform development
- Programming in C and C++
- Debug and integrations test internally and externally with clients
- Comformity validation
- Regression test & CI
- Network
- Protocols
- Validation of solution with clients
