Describe the Information Landscape of Demant – One of our highest priorities
You will be working with information and data modelling at all levels – connecting business perspectives with logical, conceptual, and physical data models and structures. You will define data landscapes and repositories and the navigation and governance required to translate the data into insights and value. You will help build shared data definitions and terminology, a general understanding and trust in data and a culture of where data is treated as an asset.
Lead the modelling & implementation of data structures
Overall, you will lead the design and implementation of data structures and architecture that enable exceptional user experiences. Your responsibilities include -:
- Translating business needs into data capabilities: transform user stories and experiences into underlying needs for data structures and data driven services.
- Developing information and data models that reflect current and future needs and drive its implementation through specific use cases
- Craft architectural blueprints and models to support realization of data centric initiatives
- Provide recommendations to maximize the value of information assets via their creation, access, and use.
- Support our data asset owners: define and maintain information management standards
An essential part of the job is to enable value creation using the organization's data assets, as well as the external data ecosystem. This may come in the shape of e.g., analytics and insights, data discovery or data enabled user experiences and products.
In achieving this, you will be collaborating with data and analytics leaders, data science and data engineering specialists, solution developers and business domain stakeholders, such as data owners and business analysts.
Join our department of Strategy & Portfolio Management
You will join our Enterprise Architecture team, located in Strategy & Portfolio Management, and spend most of your time within our strategic data initiatives and programs – driving data related efforts and outcomes. You will be reporting directly to the Vice President of Strategy & Portfolio Management and work from our Demant headquarters in Smørum.
Experience within data & information modelling
We expect you to have broad and solid experience within data and information modelling from a global context. Your background may be from a role within analytics/business intelligence, AI/machine learning, data warehouse, or master data management. It´s important that you are well versed in the use of data management tools, query and scripting language and ideally have a good understanding of one or more business data domains, e.g., Finance, HR, Product Lifecycle. You have a track record of navigating change and complexity and take pride in delivering on your promises. Finally, you are curious by nature and like to keep yourself up to date on industry and data related technology trends.
As a person you create trust, have a positive and innovative mind set with a can-do attitude and then you are of course a team player.
