About the department
Trial Data Management is responsible for ensuring the many systems we use for collecting data for our trials are correctly linked so there is a proper and timely flow of data though our databases and ultimately for ensuring the timely deliverable of accurate data to stakeholders for further analysis.
We support several stakeholders both within and outside Global Development and have a strong focus on upholding high quality and timely deliveries, which are of high importance since we support an essential part of clinical drug development in Novo Nordisk.

Trial Data Management is a part of Global Development. In Global Development we are responsible for managing clinical drug development worldwide from early development phases to product introduction and life cycle management. We ensure medical and scientific documentation for clinical submissions and authorities while ensuring that the process lives up to uniform global standards, regulations and business ethics. We work in global project teams with focus on delivering viable products that make a difference to patients and ultimately benefit society.
The position
As a Principal Data Management Specialist, you are overall responsible for directing and driving the development of clinical programs from a data management perspective. You will ensure that data management deliverables are met on time and at a high quality. You will lead and coordinate data management activities through trial planning, trial set-up, execution and closure as well as supervise and evaluate the Data Management processes throughout the projects’ life cycle.
In close collaboration with the manager of the trial data management team, you will support team members working on trials. This entails ensuring progress and communication as well as creating team spirit by contributing to a positive, challenging and inspiring working climate. You are also expected be able to instruct and mentor colleagues, consultants, vendors and stakeholders in Novo Nordisk data management processes.
As a special focus area, you will drive and develop how we in Novo Nordisk integrate eDevices, Robotics, AI and data visualisation in the development of clinical processes and best practises. You have a keen interest and knowledge on this area from the industry and will be able to drive the development of these areas even further in collaboration with our process and innovation department
Qualifications
Preferably you have minimum 8 years of data management experience and an academic educational background in Natural Science, IT or equivalent. You have a proven track record of being a successful project manager within clinical development. You have experience preferably working with relational databases and systems/tools within eDevices and data visualisations.
It is expected that you have strong communication and coordination skills and able to maintain an excellent overview on activities within the project. You should also be able to work in a complex and fast paced environment with many stakeholders and parallel projects without compromising the quality of the work. Additionally, you are fluent in English, both written as well as spoken and have the desire to work in a challenging international environment, and willing to travel depending on business needs.
