About the department
You will be part of the Safety Solutions department, belonging to Research & Development IT, located in Søborg, Denmark. Our department is transforming from maintenance focused to an agile and value adding IT partnering team for Global Safety, our Pharmacovigilance function. Our department’s ambition is to make a difference and unlock business potential for Global Safety & their stakeholders with the digital solutions that we develop and implement. These solutions will span across many process areas involving a variety of technologies.
Therefore, our responsibilities are to:
- Manage IT strategy and project portfolio
- Drive and participate in IT initiatives and projects
- Provide technical and solution architectural direction
- Actively engage in initiatives that drive business development.
The job
As our new Full Stack Engineer, you will use your technical and programming skills to positively influence and add value to our business with a passion to simplify and modernise the IT landscape for Global Safety.
Your main responsibilities will include making technical assessments of new Pharmacovigilance (PV) IT solutions in the market, collaborate with IT vendors to build prototypes of new solutions as well as lead data migration related activities (on-premise and cloud) on projects where relevant. Moreover, we expect you to build expertise on the customizations and configurations on Argus Safety (our main PV IT system) and perform technical impact assessment of solutions, both in Argus Safety and other applications/technologies, that provide concrete insights on the complexity of the solution. You will also be our technical expert on existing integrations and IT landscape and you will drive development of any new integrations. With respect to documentation, we expect you to develop expertise on existing technical design specifications (TDS) as well as write TDSs on new projects/solutions. You will actively provide inputs to test strategy, test scenarios and test cases for IQ and OQ. You will also be responsible for developing SQL queries and tools to simplify some of the day to day IT processes.
You will be working with architects, developers, data engineers, data scientists and subject matter experts and in a cross-functional setting.
Qualifications
We are looking for an ambitious and proactive colleague who can contribute to the team both professionally and personally. You hold a Master’s degree within the field of Computer Science, Software Development, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or other related fields.You bring 3-5 years of hands-on experience as Full Stack Developer using programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, etc., Oracle and SQL databases and SQL and PL/SQL.
We imagine that you have at least 1 year of hands-on experience with cloud technologies such as AWS and MS Azure. Any experience with developing/implementing IT solutions for Pharmacovigilance and data engineering will be considered a clear advantage. Hands-on experience with MS Power Platform including PowerApps, Power Automate and Power BI will be appreciated.
You have a strong analytical mindset and a high level of statistical understanding as well as practical knowledge of agile software development.
