Your future team & organization
We are looking for a Linux expert for a very central and newly established DevOps & Test team within our Command & Control (C2) organization. The position is located in Søborg (Copenhagen). The C2 organization is mainly responsible for our C2 Naval system, C-Flex, that provides situational awareness et. al. for surveillance, maritime safety, and combat purposes at sea.
Terma’s agile journey started a few years back and together with you we would like to take it to the next level. The team that you will join plays an important role in our DevSecOps strategy and is, among other things, responsible for automation, tool stack infrastructure development and maintenance enabling automatic testing, integration, deployment, and release. Furthermore, the team is responsible for the automatic deployment of our C-Flex system to our physical reference sites, which, to a high degree, reflect the HW and SW environment on the vessels that C-Flex is deployed to.
Your role & key responsibilities
You have a relevant education, i.e. a Master’s degree in computer engineering, computer science or related technical discipline - or equivalent work experience. You are a Linux expert on senior level, and you are not afraid to be confronted with Windows based tasks. You are ready to take ownership of existing IT systems and the maintenance of these - and you have the ambition to bring these systems to new heights. You will work closely together with management on strategic decisions on technology, strategy, and tools.
More specifically we are looking for a colleague with experience/knowledge within the following areas:

- Linux Expert on master level
- Linux administration
- Linux configuration
- Linux distribution
- Linux batch scripts
- Ansible / Python, scriptable orchestration and provisioning
- Automation, knowledge to Packer, Power Shell preferred
- Monitoring, knowledge to Zabbix, Cockpit, Logstash, SNMP
The following knowledge is not required but will be a surplus:
- DevOps
- Implementations of CI/CD pipelines and tools
- Knowledge on Jenkins / Gerrit
- Source code management using Git
- Don’t be afraid of Windows and some knowledge on Power Shell and Packer
- Automated testing and disaster recovery
You as a person
- You are a team player and you take pride in communicating actively and acting proactively towards your teammates and stakeholders
- You have an analytical and systematic approach to problem solving and the ability to understand and work with complex solutions
- You have good cooperation skills, as you will need to work with many different people in the organization
- You possess the ability to learn new languages and tools to improve our systems
- You respect the formal working processes while still mastering agile principles
