The Submission and Life Cycle Management (SubLCM) area is on a journey to further increase the digital transformation of our processes, in order to bring our new products to our patients faster and increase efficiency to accommodate the scaling of our business. To support our transformation, we are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Data Lead to join our team, who will be responsible for implementing and supporting our data strategy in the safety organisation, and support building and executing a comprehensive Data Governance strategy for the Submission and Life Cycle areas in Novo Nordisk. About the department SubLCM Digital Transformation is a department placed in SubLCM: SubLCM consists of the five functional areas: Regulatory Affairs (approvals by health authorities), Global Safety (patient safety and handling of adverse events), R&D Quality (ensuring quality and compliance), Clinical Reporting (medical writing) and Digital Transformation (driving the Digital agenda). Digital Transformation drives change within the SubLCM organisation to optimise and digitalise within and across the five areas. We collaborate with internal and external partners regarding projects within the fields of IT & Automation, Process Optimisation, and Data Analytics and Business Intelligence. In your work you will get hands-on experience with best-practice project management methods and tools as well as optimisation of recurrent tasks. The Position As a Data Lead, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining a comprehensive Data Governance strategy for the different areas within SubLCM, with a primary focus on the Safety organisation, also define and maintain data standards, policies, and procedures to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements and digital transformation goals. Other responsibilities will include: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data-related risks and opportunities and develop solutions to mitigate risks and leverage opportunities, ensuring alignment with digital transformation efforts Develop and maintain a data inventory and data lineage to ensure transparency and traceability of data across the organization, facilitating data-driven decision making Lead the development and implementation of data quality metrics and data quality improvement plans, ensuring data-driven decision making is supported by high-quality data Ensure data governance is embedded in all relevant processes and systems, ensuring alignment with digital transformation efforts and driving data-driven decision making Qualifications On a personal level, you naturally generate energy and direction among your colleagues, also during periods with tight deadlines. You have a high level of drive and result-orientation, you are curious and innovative by nature and like to be challenged. You thrive in agile and matrix set-ups and are comfortable interacting with stakeholders at different organisational levels. Finally, you are fluent in English, both written and spoken. We're seeking candidates who fulfil the following prerequisites: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Management, or a related field 7+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field, Experience in the pharma or life sciences industry is a plus Strong knowledge of regulatory and pharmacovigilance processes and requirements Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures with a strong focus on quality, and a “right first time” mindset Experience in developing and implementing data governance programs in a large organization.
