We are currently looking for an experienced and passionate UX Designer to join our Competence Center Sensing in Sønderborg, to further strengthen our UX design through user research and translate reel needs into wireframes and prototypes. Join us in building the best-in-class user centered solutions that consists of physical devices and digital applications.

Job description

With your proven experience, you can stand your ground and be our key UX Designer at our Competence Center Sensing. You will work closely together with our multidisciplinary design team in Belgium. You will take part in weekly reviews, concept workshops where your work is aligned and groomed together with the Lead UX. Regularly the complete team meets in order to align on design patterns and design vision.

As native Danish speaker, you will be responsible for conducting research into user needs by means of interviews and observations. Out of the gathered insights, you will map the customer journey, and in close collaboration with the product owner share it with all stakeholders in order to improve our solutions. In addition, your key responsibilities will be:

  • Make multiple concepts, wireframes, supportive aids and design screens
  • Build prototypes to verify your solutions among our user
  • Process test results in following design iterations
  • Throughout our agile development process, you will support our development teams both locally and abroad
  • Improve our processes and tools
  • Share and evangelize the importance of user experience within your team (via gained insights, evaluation during usability tests etc.)

Your working base will be in Sønderborg, and you will be part of an enthusiastic and multidisciplinary team of 12 designers all located in Belgium. You will work closely together with our Product Management team, and also collaborate with various people both internally in the organization and externally. You will report to the Manager of Product Management (PM). Moreover, you must be willing to do short monthly business trips in Europe.

Background and skills

For this position, you might hold a degree in a user research and design-oriented field, like (digital) design and interaction, user-research based humanities or social studies, or similar education coupled with relevant continuous learning and work experience within IT/Design. Furthermore, we expect you to have +8 years of experience working with UX design. In addition, you possess the following competencies:

  • Deep knowledge and experience within UX
  • Experience with conducting user research
  • Experience with the design thinking process
  • Strong communication skills
  • Stakeholder management
  • Experience with Figma
  • You speak Danish, English and preferably a third language

On a personal level, you are a passionate UX designer who is always up to date in terms of new trends within user experience design, customer satisfaction and competitors in the market. You enjoy working in an agile environment and thrive on close collaboration with your colleagues. You like to share your knowledge and with your enthusiasm you inspire others to continue investing in user experience. Thanks to your empathic nature, you are successful in bringing disciplines together in order to define clear requirements for new applications or functionalities, so you together can create new exciting solutions for our customers.
