Maersk Container Industry (MCI) is looking for an experienced Embedded Software Developer to strengthen our internal software team, working on the continued development of our IOT gateway - an integral part of the future Star Cool Reefer system. As an Embedded Software Developer, you will be part of our Software and Digitalization team which consists of 12 passionate colleagues, including Senior Project Managers, Data Analysts, Refrigeration Specialist, Software- and Hardware Engineers. You will report directly to the Head of Star Cool System Control and Digital Service.
The team is working on the development of next generation of refrigerated containers and our new IoT service, Sekstant. Sekstant is a gateway and connectivity solution that is fundamentally changing the way reefer container operators connect with and manage their transport chain. The team works from our headquarters in Tinglev, where you will also be based. Tinglev lies in southern Denmark, close to attractive cities like Sønderborg, Kolding and Flensburg. We have strong local roots but act on a truly global stage. At MCI in Tinglev, you will enjoy an international environment with an informal tone and a supportive atmosphere. In your everyday work, you will experience a high degree of

You will be part of the continued development of our IOT gateway, which will be an integral part of the future Star Cool reefer system. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the software architecture, building agile software development and contributing to developing and implementing software quality assurance procedures.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
• Develop code according to agreed specification
• Assist in building up agile software development in MCI
• Aid in developing and implement software quality assurance procedures
• Create, maintain and ensure approval of software requirement specifications
• Translate product and system strategy into features and
requirements
• Ensures that product validation and verification is planned and executed (internally and externally)
• Ensures that product design and design documentation are done according to MCI’s requirements
• Coordinate work with external team(s) and supplier(s),
in terms of software
To qualify for this new Software Developer position, you need a master or minimally a bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar (Control and Automation, Communication Technology, Mechatronics, Electronics, etc.) and a minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience.
Your proven experience should include:
• Experience in embedded software development
• Embedded Linux, Python, Git, C/C++, C Sharp
• Agile development (Scrum)
We are looking for an analytical coding specialist who has a strong eye for detail. By nature, you are well-organised and good at planning and coordinating your own task portfolio. We expect you to have an open mind and a willingness to learn and share best practice with your colleagues.
Additionally, we expect you to have:
• A strong team spirit together with a readiness to challenge your colleagues in the interests of achieving high-quality results
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are a prerequisite and you need to be able to present complex work to colleagues who are not experts in this area.
Although this job does not require regular travel, we expect you to be willing to travel if it is required for a specific meeting or task.
We will be reviewing applications on an ongoing basis until we find the right candidate.
