Why project44?
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the project44 team in Aalborg! You will work in a fast-paced Agile team to design and implement Java applications – and at the same time you will increase your cloud-skills.

Together with our software architects you will play an influential role with responsibility to design and develop the services we offer our customers. Our services offer APIs and self-service portals, collect data from IoT devices and processes the data in our big data pipelines.
As a senior Java developer, you will have many interesting and diverse tasks at project44. Besides developing a ton of code you will also help guide junior developers, coordinate with our US colleagues, perform review of your colleagues design and code, help make releases ready for our DevOps to release, perform testing and do performance tuning – just to mention a few of the tasks.
We work according to the principles of SCRUM. Our organizational structure is flat and unbureaucratic where we have a strong tradition of helping each other obtain our common goals.
Requirements and Skills:You are a software engineer or computer scientist with 8-10+ years of experience within software development.
You have extensive Java skills and have experience in building large scalable solutions based on micro-services from previous jobs. We expect a solid knowledge with JEE, Spring Boot, Maven/Gradle and REST.

You master English in writing and speech. The job is in Aalborg and applicants must be permitted to work in Denmark.

- Building systems in a multi-cloud environment. We use AWS & GCP but value experience in other cloud environments such as Azure.
- Container-orchestration: Docker & Kubernetes.
- Creating API's / web services: REST, SOAP etc.
- Database related work: DynamoDB, MongoDB, Postgres.
- Real-time and near real-time streaming work in Kafka.
