Job description:
Senior Database Architect. The database architects have a responsibility for the database, with a special domain focus. The main responsibilities of the database architects are:
· Make sure that the solution's technical design is according to our defined standards, guidelines and best practices and is well documented.
· Make sure that functional and non-functional requirements are met.

Description of your responsibilities:
· Supervised by the Team Manager, identify architectural challenges, define architectural goals and constraints, elicit project-specific non-functional requirements (NFR) and perform preliminary security risk analysis.
· Define what development tools, frameworks, technologies, coding standards, etc., are to be used, based on FS standards.
· Establish guidelines for the use of tools, frameworks, technologies, package structure, version control, configuration management, etc.
· Transform requirements to design, e.g.:
how the software system is structured and divided into applications, business services, technical components, layers, etc.;
reuse of existing services and creation of new reusable services;
interaction between the central parts of the total solution.
Involve the Development lead to qualify all architecture, tools and design decisions, specifically all deviations from FS standards.
· Implement and test the system design (”proof-of-concept”).
· Analyze consequences generated by change orders.
· Prepare the software architecture document (SAD), NFR checklist and security risk analysis report.
· Identify particular focus areas for code review, and participate in code review.
· Gather results in the form of new or updated standards, guidelines or best practices.
· Facilitate regular meetings with the developers to settle design and technical issues and create enthusiasm.
· Guide the developers to make sure that selected design, guidelines, tools, technologies, etc., are adhered to.
The project architect works closely with the Project Chief Architect during the early phases of the project and the Project Business Architect, functional team and the developers during design and realization phases.
