Back-end Developer for gifting provider in growth
We are growing! To support this growth, we are looking for a Back-end developer to maintain and further develop our e-commerce sites, which is one of the biggest gift portals in the Nordic countries and serves customers all over the world.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop our professional skills and become part of a one-stop global gifting provider with global ambitions for our innovative gifting solution. You will have the opportunity to work with senior and seasoned developers and learn from them.

Located in our creative office surroundings in Valby, you will become part of a small and fast-paced team with a lot of responsibilities but also a lot of flexibility and opportunities. We strive to constantly evolve our methods to create the most innovative, adaptable and productive development environment possible.
Collaboration and teamwork are at the core of our team and you will be working with three highly skilled software developers and a development operations specialist. We are an international team with a 50/50 gender split, and work with a modern tech stack and a modern microservice pattern hosted in the cloud.
GoGift is owned by Egmont and is a portfolio company within Nordisk Film. We have big ambitions, yet we strive for a sustainable work-life balance and we mix on-site work with working remotely. During Covid we will mainly be working remotely and communicating via Slack, Teams, Meet etc.
Have a crucial role in our team succeeding
- Maintain and further development of our main platform
- Plan and develop new api-based services.
- Ensure a strong focus on security, code quality and review processes
- Contribute to a good collaboration and knowledge sharing with stakeholders
You will be working with a fully automated test and deploy set up where code quality and smart scalable solutions are of the essence. There will be an opportunity to define your own tasks as well influence planning and decisions regarding technologies and architecture going forward.
What we imagine you bring
- Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal
- Good knowledge of C# or other OOP language
- Good knowledge of data structures
- Knowledge of source control (e.g., Git)
- Understanding of APIs and service-oriented development
- Understanding of testing methodologies and frameworks
- Understanding of relational databases (Postgres).
Furthermore, it is beneficial if you have previous hands-on experience with:
- Python and Node.js
- AWS
- Non-relationel databases
