Group Business Solutions in FLSmidth counts 300 employees to implement and operate its IT systems across the globe. We have recently started the implementation of a new datacentre strategy which will bring us from “hosting and operating” all our systems in-house, to take advantage of leveraging all the new possibilities which is available in the cloud.
As a Modern Workplace Specialist in FLSmidth, you will be a part of the Modern Workplace team situated in Copenhagen & Chennai, India.

As a Modern Workplace Specialist in FLSmidth, you will be a part of the Modern Workplace team situated in Copenhagen & Chennai, India.
The Modern Workplace team covers:
- IT Workplace
- Identity & global core infrastructure services
- Cloud support & vendor management
- Full Microsoft 365 suite (Office 365, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Dynamics365, OneDrive etc.)
- External websites (i.e. Sitecore)
We pride ourselves on quick and high-quality deliveries to our Business Units, to fit their dynamic agendas. In your position as Modern Workplace Specialist you will cooperate with IT colleagues and external partners all over the world.
Your key tasks will be to
- Maintain and evolve our ConfigMgr infrastructure.
- Drive the Cloud transition, adopting and utilizing new technologies in the Modern Workplace areas, e.g. Autopilot, Co-Management, Intune client management.
- Actively participate in projects helping implementing solutions and features based on business requirements.
- Provide third-level support helping our Cloud Support & Operations team in Chennai, India.
- Continual Service Improvement on our System Center portfolio, and desktop environment.
- Key role in developing and implementing strategies of FLSmidth IT Workplace
You have
- A solid background on the SCCM / ConfigMgr Current Branch
- Understanding core infrastructure services such as Azure AD, AD, DNS, DHCP, DFS, Single Sign On, GPO’s etc.
- A strong educational background - but still secondary to practical experience
- Demonstrated ability and motivation to gain new skills and willingness to share your competence with both IT and business colleagues.
- A structured working approach, project management skills and ability to work with the team to get things done and deliver on agreed time.
- PowerShell & programming- background is a bonus
- A skilled communicator, able to communicate fluently in English talking to the team or with the business around the globe.
