The position As a Digital Data & IT (DDIT) Category Manager, your main responsibilities will be to: Envision, develop, and execute local and global category strategies based on supplier market insights, advanced data analytics, internal and external trends, and collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders, ensuring the best cost for value (TCO) is obtained and Novo Nordisk targets are met. Drive complex sourcing projects – from ideation, scoping, e-sourcing, (e)negotiation, to contract negotiation and implementation. Own customer relations – actively work to secure procurement involvement in sourcing activities, turn Procurement into a trusted partner to the organization by adding value and ensuring business needs are understood and met. Manage supplier relationship - including supplier segmentation and strategy development and execution of planned activities. Business development - engage with users in the business to develop and quantify ideas for new projects, substitution, or value-adding activities that generate benefits and savings to the organization. Coach colleagues and taking a proactive role in the continuous development of the department and our team. You will be exposed to different organizational areas throughout Novo Nordisk, and the job offers frequent interactions and presentations to senior management. Qualifications You will have to manage large supplier contract negotiations, so you must be confident in driving complex negotiations independently. You are comfortable using data to drive evidence-based decision-making, complete high-quality complex analyses, and draw strong recommendations. In addition, you are self-driven and can create your own projects and deliver results independently. We also expect you to be curious and understand the value chain in a large organisation. Finally, you have excellent presentation skills and can communicate at all levels of the organisation. Further qualifications: Master's Degree in, e.g. Business Administration, Chemistry, Engineering, Economics, Law, Supply Chain Management or similar with excellent results complemented with 3+ years of relevant experience working with, e.g., procurement project management, sourcing, category management, supply chain, or business development Alternatively you possess a Bachelor Degree or equivalent complemented with 5+ years of relevant experience working with, e.g., procurement project management, sourcing, category management, supply chain, or business development Strategic and innovative mindset and can provide hands-on operational support. Strong sourcing toolbox, and understanding of Procurement to pay process, and excellent execution skills. Excellent stakeholder management skills to help drive change management in a diverse customer landscape. Deep understanding and professional experience with Procurement Contracts for subcontracted services. Advanced skills with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint Experience in Digital, Data and IT sourcing will be an advantage.
