Are you interested in the intersection between business intelligence, data analytics, process optimisation and stakeholder management? Do you have experience with digitalisation and communicating complex matters and want to apply it in a strategic sourcing setting? In Strategic Sourcing Strategy and Business Intelligence in Novo Nordisk we are looking for a Business Intelligence Consultant to join our team.
About the department
Strategic Sourcing is the central sourcing unit in Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply division, and we are responsible for the strategic sourcing activities related to Novo Nordisk’s pharmaceutical production sites worldwide as well as global management of suppliers. You will be part of Strategy and Business Intelligence department, where we (for several functional disciplines) drive cross-unit assessment and projects, represent the unit in different fora outside the unit and contribute with value-adding sparring to the category management and sourcing departments in Strategic Sourcing. The disciplines, which we represent and tailor for a sourcing perspective, include strategy development, sourcing/scenario analytics, financial advisory, sustainability, risk management, market intelligence, quality management and business intelligence. You will enter a thorough, yet fast-paced and ambitious environment, where we collaborate closely with stakeholders inside and outside Strategic Sourcing.
The position
You will support our journey towards advanced analytics by employing your data & modelling skills for our specific use cases. You will become one of our experts on the BI tools. You will interact closely with stakeholders in Strategic Sourcing, understanding their processes and facilitate the progress on BI tasks and projects. You will work in close collaboration with the rest of the BI team to secure that your own and colleagues’ projects are fit for digitalisation and that you make use of best practice from each other. Amongst you in a group of four, you will figure out how to best distribute roles related to existing and new solutions – based on skills, preferences, and development interest. On the “customer side” you will work closely with less technical people than yourself from the business and understand their needs while making them understand the technical possibilities and limitations within our IT ecosystem. You will establish close connections to the other members of the department, as you will be their expert in securing the optimal BI approach to their functional responsibility. On the data source and “toolbox” side, there is a vast network of colleagues throughout the company who will contribute to your solutions and skill development on your projects. Primary responsibilities and tasks: Sparring with BI colleagues and stakeholders to continuously improve and run existing solutions which the unit depend on to maintain its efficient way of working Partnering with colleagues in- and outside the department to define and develop new solutions and sourcing related process workflows Design and build scalable digital self-service solutions with the aim of simplifying the access to tools and data Leverage Novo Nordisk’s BI tools and cross-functional data from various data sources with the goal to bring business impact by converting data into business insights Seek insight into emerging digital technologies & assess how those impact our innovation roadmap Qualifications Academic background in IT, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Digital Innovation, Business Intelligence, or another relevant subject. In any case, you have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, comfortable working with large amounts of data. You have a structured and analytical approach to challenges, attention to details, can communicate complex data and are good at applying logical reasoning on tasks and challenges. You enjoy building innovative solutions and working in an informal atmosphere where flexibility and responsibility goes hand in hand. You take a pride in helping your colleagues across various functions in a global oriented business. Your qualifications include: 3+ years of relevant work experience Passion for generating insights from data A solid understanding of data and how they fit together in data models Comfortable analysing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources Experience with visualisation tools such as Tableau, PowerBI Experience with any data analysis or analytics tools/programming languages such as Alteryx, SQL, or Python Experience with Microsoft Power Platform is a plus Experience in working with continuous improvement, UX, UI, cLEAN tools and quality is a plus You are fluent in written and spoken English and have good presentation skills.
