The Position As our new Supply Chain Specialist, you understand end2end short term planning. This includes: Collaborate closely with S&OP and S&OE business partners, effectively communicating the impact of their decisions on operational planning and challenging when necessary. Work closely with planners in the operational planning horizon to improve planning and decision-making, with a thorough understanding of when our short-term planning is in balance and when it's not. Provide clear communication to the line of business on issues and possibilities in operational planning, facilitating analysis and deep dives into problems and opportunities. Ensure robust short-term planning processes and drive and participate in internal and cross-functional initiatives and projects. This newly created role offers the opportunity to contribute in shaping the role within the organization. It is expected that you work independently and are highly skilled at stakeholder management, as you will be working with stakeholders from several different teams and layers within and outside of the department. Qualifications We expect you to have more than 8 years of relevant work experience, preferably within life science, that is supplemented with: Solid business understanding mixed with hands-on experience with operational or tactical planning. A sharp eye for details, a strong analytical mindset and great structured problem-solving skills. A strong system mindset – knows the importance of reliable data and have experience from working in advanced planning systems like APO, OMP or similar. Excellent data presentation skills. The candidate we are looking for has an international mindset, good collaborating skills and communicate clearly and concisely. You take initiative, are proactive, and are motivated by optimisations and improvements, and you have the ability to quickly change gears from being deep in analysing data to taking fast decisions to looking for elements of the supply chain to optimise. Lastly, as the Operational Planning department is an international team with a global footprint you must be able to speak and write English fluently. About the Department The Operational Planning department is anchored in Supply Chain Planning & Logistics and is overall responsible for the Sales & Operation execution, BRD Planning, analytics and many initiatives and projects.
