As Director of Sourcing Warehousing, you will be responsible for heading up our Sourcing Warehousing department, which is part of Product Supply, Sourcing Operations (SoOp). You will assume a key role in continuing to lead, develop and shape it in order to meet future demands. Your main focus include: Setting the direction for the department according to Novo Nordisk Way (our company values): you will adjust the organisation to fit challenges and drive performance to reach targets and department goals Ensuring quality and compliance in all processes, audit and inspection performance Being responsible for receiving, sampling, storing and delivering materials to all sites Directly managing 5 leaders, developing the people by securing trainings and competencies development, as well as being responsible for budget and investments linked to the department Continuously optimizing warehouse and sampling processes as well as ensuring that adjustments are interlinked with SoOp value chain You will report directly to the Vice President of Global Inbound Warehouse and be part of the management team in our area. Together with this group, you will be responsible for setting goals and implementing strategic initiatives for the whole Sourcing Operations and especially for warehousing in Denmark and in the United States.
Qualifications To be considered for this position, we imagine you have: At least a bachelor’s degree in supply chain or any other relevant field Solid leadership experience and ability to lead through others as well as coaching and motivating your own direct reports to deliver their best Familiarity with the pharmaceutical or medical devices industry Previous experience in supply chain or a keen interest to learn Fluency in both Danish and English As a person, you are a people leader by nature with the ability to coach and lead through others in a complex and global stakeholder landscape. You are renowned for your ability to set challenging goals and challenge status quo. You are a skilled communicator and thrive in cooperating with a variety of stakeholders. Last but not least, you enjoy translating strategies into clear actions, that you follow through. About the department
Sourcing Warehousing is part of Sourcing Operations (SoOp) , which has the overall operational responsibility for the inbound supply chain of Novo Nordisk and consists of 420 employees. You will oversee a well-established but expanding department responsible for supplying Raw Materials to all Novo Nordisk’ production sites, laboratories and development facilities worldwide. The department consists of over 100 employees led by an engaged leadership team of 5 Managers. You will interact within a highly diverse and rich stakeholder landscape.
