Terma is looking for highly qualified and passionate Interns to become part of this journey and to become a team member of our Supply Chain & Quality Management (SCQM) organization in Lystrup. Terma is a global leading developer of advanced products within mission critical systems. For example, radar systems for surveillance of airports and harbor- and coast areas, self-protection systems for helicopters, transportation- and fighter aircrafts as well as key supplier for numerous international space missions.
Terma is headquartered in Aarhus, Denmark.

Supply Chain & Quality Management (SCQM)
As an Intern at Terma, you will be part of a company with a lot of engaged, knowledgeable and international employees. Continuous improvement and performance management play pivotal roles in shaping the culture within the department and influencing day-to-day operations.

You will collaborate closely with colleagues from SCQM to develop, implement, and follow-up on various projects, processes, and activities. You will become an active partner working with our SCQM strategy and improving our processes with responsibility for own tasks.
Supply Chain & Quality Management consist of multiple departments striving towards the same overall end goal; to support the growth of Terma.

The Internship could be in one of the below departments within SCQM:

Sourcing & Procurement is responsible for negotiations, strategic work with suppliers and internal stakeholders through Category Management principle. Daily tasks also consist of operational tasks, placing orders and follow-up securing undisrupted flow of goods to the production facilities, whilst maintaining optimal inventory levels.

Warehouse is responsible for securing internal flow of goods to our production through receiving goods, Incoming quality inspection and picking as well as packing and shipping finished goods. Daily tasks also contain lean activities and optimization of warehouse and logistic processes.

Value Chain Excellence is responsible for leading, facilitating, and implementing value chain improvements including driving change management initiatives. Besides project improvements Market Intelligence and cost out program is also anchored in the department.

Business Process Management (BPM) at Terma owns and actively supports various process optimization initiatives, including the Quality Management System (QMS) application. Additionally, it oversees the development, integration, and upkeep of the company's BPM framework, which encompasses process structure, governance, and support across the entire organization.

Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) is responsible for facilitating the process balancing Supply & Demand on mainly 6-24 months horizon across Business Areas. Our key focus is on process facilitation combined with delivering actionable analysis supporting decision making as well as forecasting and lead time simulations.

Your primary tasks will be in above departments:

  • Challenging and enhancing our existing processes
  • Engaging in problem-solving activities
  • Conducting complex analyses
  • Supporting strategic initiatives
  • Taking the lead on improvement projects

Your professional qualifications

  • You are a student at a relevant Bachelor or Master’s education within e.g finance, B2B, Supply Chain.
  • You have a can-do attitude and are motivated by converting your theoretical knowledge into practice.
  • You are self-driven, able to work independently and not stopped by challenging tasks.
  • You can conduct complex analyses.
  • You have experience with the entire Microsoft Office package such as Excel and PowerPoint

The key point to success as an Intern is to show commitment, work with passion both in groups and independently, an outgoing and proactive personality, curiosity, as well as showing initiative in the daily work. It is crucial that you solve your tasks within set deadlines and with strong focus on quality and detail, of course in close cooperation with your colleagues. You work in a structured manner and can coordinate and manage several things at the same time without losing track. You make things happen and are identifying and dealing with issues proactively. You are excellent at communicating, both verbally and written, and understand the importance of cross-functional cooperation.
