About the department
Clinical Supplies Supply Chain Planning is a part of Clinical Supplies in CMC Development. We are responsible for the overall planning of the production, packaging, and distribution of products for all Novo Nordisk clinical trials worldwide.
The department consist of three teams, supporting the execution of clinical trials by forecasting/monitoring product demand, ordering product etc, planning the packaging/shipping of Trial Products and supporting the overall Trial conduct at the Clinical Sites with a focus on Trial Product related processes and systems.

The Position
As an Operational Procurement Professional, the main tasks will be:
Comparator Sourcing
- Ensure timely ordering of comparators according to corporate requirements and policies
- Ensure daily follow up upon the Comparator view
- Follow up on delivery of orders and if relevant escalation to production planner, vendor responsible, sourcing specialist and management
- Ensure timely handling of vendor complaints
- Update comparator price list
- Giving input to risk assessment
Purchasing
- Ensure timely ordering of materials and Drug Product within responsibility of our department, according to corporate requirements and policies
- Follow up on delivery of orders and escalation to production planner, vendor responsible, management and sourcing specialist
- Ensure timely handling of vendor complaints
- Ensure timely ad hoc destruction
- Ensure relevant documentation for purchased goods is collected in due time
- Ensure timely up-date of KPI’s within purchaser responsibility
Process optimisation
- Drive or participate in process optimisation tasks and projects
- Ensure anchoring of process optimisation tasks and projects in relevant operational SOP and guidelines or training material
- Proactively contribute to optimisation activities to ensure the right level of compliance
- Proactively contribute to cLEAN activities with use of LEAN Tools i.e., VSM, A3, SIPOC etc.
Qualifications
In addition, we like to see that:
- You hold a master’s degree within Life Sciences such as pharmaceutical sciences, engineering, Supply Chain Planning or similar
- 2-3 years of experience within procurement from a regulated environment
- Working experience with GxP regulated process is a great advantage
- Comfortable to navigate in a GMP regulated field with several stakeholders
- Experience with documentation; skills within written documentation such as work instructions, training material, change requests and deviations
- Supply Chain and Lean Principles Knowledge
- You seek simple and effective solutions and see continuous improvement as a natural part of processes and are familiar with various LEAN principles.
- You are a team Player and so you feel highly motivated by reaching common goals
- Must be fluent in English, Danish will be an advantage
