Apply today and join us for a life-changing career.   The position With direct reference to the Director of Supply Chain Optimisation you will serve as a trusted advisor for leaders in CS on principles and key decisions in supply chain matters. You will lead us through a high-growth scenario with squeezed capacity and carry out analyses and drive initiatives to support the optimisation of the clinical supply chain. In particular, you will:
  • interact with people on all levels across CS and with external stakeholders

  • work closely with our Lean and Flow Partner to optimise process flows throughout the area

  • present relevant results and content in an easy-to-understand way, ensuring the anchoring of the results in the organisation

  • Qualifications You have 8-10+ years of experience with supply chain management and understand how uncertainty and complexity affect the supply chain. You probably hold a Master’s degree which has given you the ability to think conceptually as well as a high level of mathematical understanding. Ideally, you come from a strategy/management consultancy or an industrial company (life sciences/pharma would be an advantage). Your experience includes:
  • Comprehensive understanding of supply chain processes and systems

  • Excellent analytical skills with a natural ability of using data in a business context

  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to present large amount of data in an easily understandable way using Power Point and think-cell or similar

  • Proficiency in a Scandinavian language as well as English

  • As a person you have a strong drive to improve and sustain processes and enjoy working in a fast-paced and agile environment. You are able to combine a detailed understanding of processes and systems with a holistic view to identify the best solutions. To succeed in this position, you possess persistence and strong communication skills that ensure the anchoring of your results in the organisation. You are easy to work with and you thrive from working at all levels of the organisation. You work independently with a natural drive to move things forward and without letting minor unknowns get in the way of the progress. About the department Before drug is approved for market use, drug candidates are tested in clinical trials. Clinical Supplies is responsible for delivering drugs for Novo Nordisk’s clinical trials around the world. Our tasks range from receival of the clinical protocol to final delivery of clinical product at site, which include trial and supply planning, drug product filling, labelling, packaging and shipping of product. Hence, our processes include many different steps and hand overs.   Supply Chain Optimisation is a department of 20 colleagues, who work across Clinical Supplies and with direct link to management. We are divided in Business Development and IT Development. Our role is to carry out strategic initiatives optimising the clinical supply chain. Our way of working is informal and ambitious at the same time. We work in close cooperation with Line of Business. We are responsible for optimisation of the clinical supply chain, and our focus is lead time reduction and productivity and agility improvements. In recent years, many improvement projects and initiatives have been carried out.
