Do you possess the programming experience, the quality mindset and the people skills to be process responsible in Purifications plant? Then you now have the opportunity to join a team of highly dedicated and ambitious people that have experience with automated pharmaceutical production and make a difference every day for millions of people living with diabetes.

About the department

You will join the Purifications plants (PP), where the incoming protein is modified and purified to become the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) used in many Novo Nordisk products.

In the PP IT Automation Operation team, we service the automation system that primarily consist of LMES+(Local Manufacturing Executing System) and SattLine (PCS/DCS). We are in the process of changing the setup of our support to the production, as the demand to do code changes in-house has increased – we are therefore expanding the team.

In the Automation Operation team, you will get 13 skilled and highly committed colleagues. We all share a dedication to achieve ambitious goals, and we have the track record to do it with confidence.

The job

As our new programmer, you will be responsible for implementing code changes in one of the automation systems: LMES or SattLine. You will be working in close cooperation with the process responsible from the production, ensuring a smooth transition between the production setup of today and the setup of the future. The job includes analysing, designing, programming, and implementing optimizations on existing and new units, including all the required tests and qualification documentation required in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environment.

The position holds quite a deal of responsibility, and you should expect many stakeholders to be waiting for your deliveries, and for you to include their concerns in your work. You will be part of a team that already includes LMES and SattLine programmers and we are ready to give you a warm welcome and thorough on-boarding. You can rely on us to have your back and we share both challenges and victories together. We look forward to your contributions to our frequent knowledge sharing sessions.

We hope that you will join us on the journey to take PP IT Automation Operation to even higher levels of delivery, qualitative support and innovation.

Qualifications.

As you will either take up a position as LMES or SattLine programmer, it is not required that you have experience with both PCS and MES – one will do. It is critical, however, that you are already a skilled programmer with technical flair and a strong curiosity for how things work – and how they can work even better. If you know your way around LMES or SattLine already, it will definitely be a plus, and if you can also demonstrate knowledge and knowhow about S88 and S95, it will help you succeed more quickly.

It is a plus if you have a broader understanding of process control systems, and especially if you have an academic or technical background in automation engineering to back it up. Prior experience with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) rules and LEAN tools would ease the learning curve somewhat, but all candidates should be motivated for a learning challenge, considering the complexity and size of the setup, and the many rules and standards we work under.

As a person we expect you to have the courage to take responsibility for solutions from idea to implementation. You are positive, outgoing and able to communicate constructively to colleagues at all organizational levels. You manage to create overview, simplify and explain complex technical contexts, and you energise your surroundings with your confident, solution-focused approach. You build trustful relations with ease, and you look forward to be a proactive and positive part of a great team, where knowledge sharing is essential and teamwork is not just a word. Freedom with responsibility is a key value to us. As part of that, we expect strong engagement, constructive collaboration, knowledge sharing, and that you are flexible and ready to make an extra effort when needed. In return, we promise you a safe and rewarding work environment where you can develop your skills and build experience in a market-leading facility where your knowledge and your effort is appreciated and where you can make a difference.
