We have an opening for a 12 months’ maternity cover for the position of Department Assistant within the Design & User Experience group in Novo Nordisk. Apply today for a life-changing career! The position As the Department Assistant you will be integral to the smooth operation of the Design & User Experience group through your support for the four constituent teams. The position reports to the head of the Design team but will be responsible for overseeing the entire VP area, collaborating closely with the VP Personal Assistant. This is an important and challenging position that will provide the right candidate with numerous opportunities for personal and professional development. Your tasks will include the following:
  • Assistance and support to the managers, team leaders and employees with a wide range of administrative tasks essential to the running of the area
  • Coordination and scheduling of team and group meetings, as well as larger events and gatherings
  • General staff administration including planning, coordination and facilitation of the introduction course for new employees across the SVP area
  • Support with monthly financial controlling, consolidating input for the budgeting processes and purchasing at a department level
  • Internal and external communication
  • Furthermore, you will be assisting with several ad hoc tasks and cross-functional tasks and processes within the SVP area. This position is a 1 year maternity cover. Qualifications To succeed in this role, you must have the following qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience within a similar role of office administration or office management
  • Great IT skills and the ability to easily adapt to new systems and processes
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and SharePoint
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • As a person you are service-minded and structured and have the ability to plan and coordinate across many tasks whilst managing numerous stakeholders. You are self-motivated, work independently and are used to thinking and planning, while maintaining the ability and willingness to adjust quickly to new situations in a fast-paced environment. About the department The Design & UX group is part of Novo Nordisk Devices & Delivery Solutions, an organisation responsible for the development of human-centred solutions for medical self-treatment within all business areas of Novo Nordisk.
